I had a slow leak as well. Turn out to be a leaking valve stem. Now, all is good

    Smile Re: First oil Change

Hello; Mattel, I use car ramps and just back my stallion up on them works great, also I bought a Low Profile Floor Jack from Harbor-Freight I think it was about $80.00 but it's only 2 7/8" high and goes under the frame easy and its a 3ton. Hope this helps.

The tip that i learned related to using the filter wrench. With the cup style wrench if you do not get it to seat all the way it will just slip. I used a rubber mallet to tap it into place. Once I did that, it was a snap to get the oil filter off. Then you need a vice and a flat head screw driver to hammer the wrwnch off the old oil filter.

I used a 13mm socket to get the oil plug out.

My Stallion only took about 4 quarts of synthetic oil.

The most difficult thing was to get my Stallion up high enough to change the oil. Big Dog suggested using bricks under the rear tires. I stacked several bricks 4 bricks high and used plywood. I had to use a car jack to get the frame high enough to use a floor jack.

One other thing I noticed was the oil filter I took off my Stallion was longer than the stock Ford filter.

Over all it went well. I think the next time will go smoother now I know how to do it.

You can reuse the plastic connector that keeps it connected to your tank by just sliding it off and attaching the new gas cap to it the same way.

Save your old gas cap, you may need to replace the rubber gasket in a few years.

I found this at an Advanced Auto Parts store.

To the Stallion owners, I found this lift searching the internet. It's available through Northern Tool. It has a lift capacity of 2000 lbs. I thought it might be the answer for servicing my YET to arrive Stallion, like changing the oil, tires, exhaust work and so on. Since I hold the comments and opinions of this forum in such high esteem, would anyone care comment. (I hope the attachment photo displays correctly...)

You don't need to pull the steering wheel to get it straight. Go under the hood and look for the zerk fitting on the top rod. You will need to just adjust that part to bring the steering wheel back straight.

    Hope this helps

William, I'm not sure where the code might be stamped, but I believe your codes are:

U.S. Paint Code Color Description Honda Paint Code

AJ7023* Bloodstone Red (Black Cherry Candy)* R-287M

Double check to make sure on the codes. I tried matching my color exactly, without going to the company that makes the paint for the Hondas and Stallions (US Paint) and it did not match. My body shop had to order the paint from US and unfortunately they won't sell in small quantities.

The paint codes can only be found through Thoroughbred Motorsports/Motor Trike...

The Stallion paint is different depending on the VIN#... There were changes made in the vendor as well as specific paint formula changes...

Some year models paint can only be ordered through Thoroughbred due to it being a custom PPG paint.

    Hope this helps!

Go to the US Paint and type in Stallion and you should see the colors. I haven't checked it out for a couple of years now, but they did list the Stallion colors separate.

TOMG you are right to an extent...

The PPG can be had through the vendor store locations no problem...

The U.S. Paint is a different story... When you try to order through U.S. Paint, they want to sell it to you by the QUART

Unless you need a LOT of extra paint, The only other option I know of is to go through Thoroughbred for a smaller quantity...

This information comes from the US Paint website.

Could just be the bulbs are out. You do know to turn them on the light switch goes clock wise on then pull the center out to turn on the running lights.

well suggest that you start trouble shooting. Look to see if you have power to the bulbs with the switch on. Check for a blown fuse. If factory switch is bad suggest just wiring them with a replacement switch. The bulbs can be replaced in the housing. You have to solder the wires in but it beats buying new lights. I believe the buld is a H-3 100 watt. I would suggest substituting with 50 w they last a lot longer and the difference in light is not that much.
