Hello Team98
I have no experience with them, but was looking at their kits. Can you say what kind of bumps you ran into and if you were able to iron them out? Sorry I couldn't help you further.
George
Has anyone out there delt with Treasure Coast Trikes out of Florida? Just started dealing with them on a kit and have ran onto some bumps. Just wondering what kind of people they are to deal with? All information would be appriciated.
Sincerely,

second time wrong swingarm, and they don't appear to want to do a refund. I'll post again when we get things ironed out or not.
Check out their reviews on facebook. You will find that unfortunately, your experience is not an isolated one. Good luck and please keep us informed.
Take care,
George
Can you give me some kinda link to find these reveiws?
Just to let everyone know this place is not good in dealing with there mistakes. 49 days and still no correct swingarm.
Sincerely,
Team98
Hi. Sorry about the delay, I was out of state. I went back to the facebook site, and the reviews portion appears to be deleted. The site is:
www.facebook.com/treasurecoastchoppers. There was absolutely nothing positive said on the reviews. Maybe you will have better luck than me.
Take care,
George
Well Just to let everyone know stay away from this company as they do not stand behind their product. We are now approaching 90 days and she will not send us a refund. We're going to take her to court to try and get a refund. Please spread the word about this company so others don't go for this bad ride!! Also We purchased a swing-arm from American Classic Motors and it fit like a glove!! We should have the trike built shortly now. Does anybody know a good set of pipes that will work with the DNA settup? We bought Eagle shorties and there still going to hit the swing-arm with the rear pipe. Looking for information so I can ordersome to arrive by the weekend. Again 2005 Fatboy
Sincerely,
team98
Can you take the pipes to a muffler shop? Have them bend the pipes at angles so the mufflers don't hit anything.
Phil
You could do what I did and cut them off to fit, then build an internal muffer not hard at all. I got my kit from Treasure Coast Trikes (TCT) They sent me the wrong swing arm the first time, it wasn't even close to fitting, I called she said to send it back and they would make it right and reinburse my shipping money via pay-pal, they made the swing arm kinda right but did not get my money back. TCT is not a company I'll be dealing with again, I really don't think they know there job as well as they think they do.
Thanks Everyone for the ideas, we've shortened both pipes about 2", moved the baffles in just about the same and shortened the heat shields the same. I then made a small heat shield for the swing-arm so it would not melt the paint off. We put about 200 miles on it this weekend and everything is working great. Now we just have to deal with TCT to get our money back. It is very obvious they have not got anything right except a sporty but I've not seen one of theirs up close yet to know if there correct either. Keep spreading the word about this company and maybe nobody else will get burned or worse killed from there junk.
Sincerely,
team98
Hi Team98,
I wish I had looked TCT up on this site before I bought from them. There feedback on ebay looked good but they are not doing a good job. I got my kit with the body kit. The body kit is satisfactory. When I asked for instructions she told me to go to santiagochoppers.com to see how to install the kit. Santiago said, very adimatly they have nothing to do with TCT. They did not send a s pipe for the muffler and did offer to call a local muffler shop and give them the dimensions and pay them $10.00 to make it for me. I couldn't understand why not just send me one. The muffler shop is going to take care of me and TCT will not be in the picture. I don't know what she does for a living but she does not take care of busines in any form of a professional way. It took me over a month to get the kit. I guess it was because they paid for the shipping. There swing arm is not symetrical at all. I measured it and it will work but I can build and weld much better than they can. I don't think they use a jig.
Sorry you had problems. Hope you got them to refund your money. If you need someone to send a letter as to TCT reputation, PM me.
Happy Trails My Friend,
Ken
Friends don't let Friends buy TCT.
Looking at the overall construction, it's apparent the original swing arm is hacked up to provide attachment for the rear axle. It's also VERY obvious the torque and other forces delivered (ONLY) to the original swing arm (frame) mount would vastly exceed the torsional forces the frame could sustain for any length of time. That's assuming the tacked-together swing arm didn't fail first. The lever-arm represented by the straight axle puts extreme forces on an area and direction the frame was NEVER designed to withstand.
.
There is another trike conversion, costing about 2X this one, that has IRS (not a straught axle) and doesn't load the OEM swing arm mount area exclusively. I'm saving my money for that one.
.
Just my take on this issue.12-09-2011 09:54 PM
For anyone in central Florida, I can highly recommend Trike Traders. The company is in Lake Alfred, near Lakeland.
Trike Traders of Central Florida
Shaun is very knowledgeable, stands behind his products. He handles four different trike company kits and can help you with which one might work best for you and your bike.
He's about 75 miles away from me and the ride was well worth the trouble.
This is my trike, that he converted, from a 2011 Road King.

If you don't grow up by age 60, you don't have to....
Thank you very much for the info on treasure coast.
You probably kept me from getting burned .

Has anyone dealt with Richland Roadster in Florida, was looking at there trike kits???
this company is dodgy going on what i,ve read here and i would say that if there still in business and not worried about customer satisfaction then i would sumise that there,s other things going on behind the seens which are probably illegal. there,s always a reason as to why these businesses keep going you just have to have a closer look. i use to live near a asian bakery that you never seen customers in but at the end of the day the shelves were almost empty of what they baked that morning. turned out they were a major herion supplier for the city.
wish i saw this sooner. bought a kit for my wife's '09 suzuki s40. after waiting 4wks for all the parts to arrive, i installed the kit and the front end shakes like crazy when first starting off. havn't takin it over 40 yet. and don't want to have to take it all apart to return it either.
so i'm kinda stuck w/it for now.
