Calman's May 2001 Trip Report

Tried without success to upload on this site the report of my trip from NC to CA and back-rain, snow, thunderstorms and all. Did, however, manage to load it on a website that all who are interested should be able to access.

The entire trip was fun irregardless of "the valleys". Somethings don't happen for a reason-like going to Nebraska to see Warren. Got a note from him last night saying that it was a good thing I didn't show up at his doorstep as he wouldn't have been home. He was in the hospital "enjoyng" his first days of recovery from a total knee replacement.

BG: If you're still planning on using I-40 thorugh OK, take note of the Rest Stop at MM 251. Stop and check to see if my roll of paper towels are still there.

Don't think we'll be that far north on this trip, going from IH-35 to I-30 to I-40 (Dallas to Little Rock to Memphis to Knoxville to MV). Will check next year when we're gonna try to do our 'big trip' (TX to Banff, Banff to Montreal, Niagara Falls & Pittsburgh to the Rally #5!)

Okay, I read it! Wow. Thank you so much for the story and experience. I love reading about stuff like this. Hope your foot is healing well? My husband also just read it and said "wow, I guess our trip is going to take us a lot longer than we thought..." LOL
