Tow-Pac and Voyager...Are there others?

I'm still <u>hot</u> to get into this trike thing. Others, here, have highly recommended a GL1500 already triked with 35k miles @ about $15 to $16k. I've decided that when my ship comes in, I'll go for it. Mean while, I'm going to put &quot;training wheels&quot; on a 1998 Honda Helix CN250, 3400 mile scoot that I picked up for reasonable, recently. I purchased the Helix with the purpose of adding a Tow-Pac out-rigger &quot;training wheel&quot; kit (it adds two additional wheels to the rear of the scoot to equal four wheels total, including the front wheel).<br />

I know that MTC Voyager makes a similar kit for several bikes, including the Honda Helix. Are there any other companies that make the same type of kit? </div>Thanks, Jon! Danson doesn't list the Honda Helix CN250 that they would have a kit for. Danson seems to have a very good product to offer the several other superscooters.<br />

I will offer my opinion with three points. First, as a matter of value I think I would shop around (Craigslist / Ebay, etc.) a bit and pick up a used kit as opposed to sending in $4k+ for a new kit no matter what you choose as your 'kit'. Second, with your 250 Helix I would be sensitive to added weight of the kit and go as light overall weight as possible. Added to the second point, I think the 8" wheels as opposed to the larger diameters would give less reisistance and require less 'loss of power'. Third, and this is influenced by my second point, is consider the capacity of your automatic clutch when adding the weight of a kit (I don't know how to put this into metrics, but it should be considered when adding the equivalent of a full-time passenger to your Helix).

One research point will of course be what company offers a mount kit for your Helix. This is from the point of view of a guy who utilizes a Voyager kit although on a large HD.

I hope it all works out to be a great ride, whatever your selections.
