Just found out yesterday that the front end of my new HD Tri-Glide is now being built in York, PA. Then it is sent to Spearfish, SD for Lehman conversion. I MAY have it by Christmas, but most likely first part of Jan.
Ditto Nana's "woo-hoo"! A New Year's gift to yourself! Keep your fingers crossed for some unseasonably warm weather in January to take an early maiden voyage.
I've picked out my bike and my trike kit, and now just need to put my hands on the all-important funding to pay for it all. Hoping that will happen today, so Zook can get started on my own new toy.

Thanks everyone. JuJu...I will keep my fingers crossed for you. What did you decide on?
Honda VTX 1300 with a Champion kit. Bazooka's going to do the work. Check should be in today's mail.

Cheryl,
Not yet!!!
I hope out weather done here holds up to riding some when it gets here.
Hard to say.....73 degrees today , but raining.
Sorry for all the wrong spelling in my post.....had not had my coffee.
IHP, we will both have to print out photos of our soon-to-be trikes and hang them on our Christmas trees. I'm assuming you're not going to get yours in time for Christmas and I'm sure I won't get mine by then. But we can dream... and look forward to the New Year, when we'll be trikin' with the rest of them.

Juju, you got that girl!!! I have a picture of it as my screen saver also. My dealer said today that it has definitely been built. Just waiting on dates for delivery. WAA HOO!!!
Ahhhh those memories of the waiting and waiting---impatiently, I might add! I wanted to drive down and take pictures and make sure they were doing what they said they were doing! But I behaved and stayed home---impatiently . It's worth the wait!!!!!
Nana, how long did you have to wait? It has been three months so far for me. You see, I am getting OLDER by the day. I have had a birthday since ordering and it was a MAJOR one. Oh well, you guys are right...the journey is important too...I guess.
Because they were putting the kit on my existing bike, it wasn't long---certainly under a month. I only took the bike to them when the kit was in their hands. It would have been done in 2 weeks, but HD no longer makes that particular yellow paint (1995 color), so the paint shop had to match.... apparently a bit tough w/ yellow! So that added several days. But definitely worth the wait!
OK....got my vin# today sent to us from our dealer so we can get insurance.....looking good!! He's really staying on top of things for me. Great people at Rocky Mount Harley Davidson in NC.
