Make it shine!

Thank you all for the warm welcome to this site! And thanks for all the wonderful comments on the trike. I need to let you folks in on the secret to the shine and the color. LIQUID GLASS - four coats. I completely striped it down with Liquid Glass Pre-Cleaner and then started to apply the Liquid Glass finish. I have to admit it made that 14 year old bike (2 year old trike) really pop. It is an amazing product. Just be sure to follow their instructions.

Merry Christmas Mike. Just be sure to use the Liquid Glass pre-cleaner. It will get rid of any old wax. Then you should be good to go!

Lookin GOOD Glenn! With so many products out today, it is good when you find one that really works. Can't find it any more, but years ago I bought a new Toyota car and it came with a bottle of "Polyglycote". The car was treated with it already and this was supposed to be for "touch up". I wound up putting it on my 750 GS Suzuki and it shined like a new dime... Stuff was kinda like Armor-All, but it dried and you just buffed it. Last time I checked, Toyota about $100.00 a bottle. Wish I could find that stuff....

I have decals on my trike - what would that stuff do to them?

Hey Cheri,
No worries on the decals. The pre-cleaner won't hurt them at all. And the Liquid Glass is not a wax. They say it is a "finish".
Since I will be putting a new tall windshield on my trike for next summer I used the LG pre-cleaner on the stock windshield many times with no ill effect. That's pretty good considering that you would not use Windex there. I have attached a photo of my 03 Shadow. It also has some type of decal on the fender and the tank.

PS. We just got home from a week in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Brrrr. Very cold up there all week. About -25° to -30° F every night. Glade to be back in SD where it is only 8° F. right now. Oh well, they say 34° tomorrow. Not trikin weather but still not bad.
