I have to add transmission fluid to my TG on a regular basis. Is this normal? My engine oil level is consistantly on the full mark. I see no leaks of any kind. I use the HD recommended transmission fluid. Does any one have any ideas? Thanks

That shouldnt be happening. You must be leaking it somewhere. Wifes Tri has never used trans fluid in the 2 1/2 years shes had it and my Glide never used a drop in 4.
I agree with Glyder, you shouldn't have to add anything to the transmission. The only time I have seen a change in transmission oil level is when I had a shifter shaft seal leak. I run Redline shock proof heavy and change my transmission oil once per year or 20,000 miles which ever comes first, I have yet to have to add any oil during that period.

How is the level of oil in your primary case?? Have you checked it?
Are you sure there isn't any oil seeping out on the bottom of the bike. A guy I ride with just had his 2010 Limited in for a known leak problem,, something about a brace mounted, I think in the Tranny/motor joining area that needed to be tightened. If you need some additional information PM me and I'll call the guy, but I would check with a dealer. They love warranty work anyway!! For what it's worth?
If it ain't leaking outside the bike, it is almost assuredly leaking into the primary.
Had that happen on my RK a few years back.
I removed my primary cover and fluid immediately started leaking out. Now we know where the transmission fluid is going. I am going to live with the problem until winter and let the warranty work fix the problem. Thanks for the help everyone.

When I pulled the primary derby cover off the fluid was so high it was running out of it. I only put 1 qt in it back at the 1000 miles service. There was no doubt in my mind that the fluid came from the transmission.
I drained it again and put 1 qt back in and will watch it until winter.
Thanks.
