New Handlebars

Won't know 100% for sure until I get my driver's backrest installed, but it looks like I'm going to need some new handlebars. The stock ones are a little to far forward and make my neck, back, and arms hurt. What bars have you all tried? On my 09 FLHT I tried the Khromewerks +2 sweepers but wound up switching them to the Harley 56176-08 as I didn't like the extra 4" of width on the Khromewerks. Now I'm actually thinking that the extra width might be a help on the trike since it takes more steering effort than a two-wheeler. The WO 575's look similar to the Khromewerks as far as dimensions. Anyone tried them?

I have WO575 bars on my 2011 Triglide and like them alot now, but not at first. I didn't like the width but soon found out that it makes steering easier. I located all the wires inside the bars and the diameter of the WildOnes helps in that dept. Put a 4 inch longer clutch cable and extended the wires 12 inches. Not a bad job just takes a lot of time adding to the wires. Had everything off the bike in 1 1/2 hours, thought this is going to be a breeze. About 8 hours later I was through. Nice quality, look great, makes the reach and back pain go away, and steers much better. They did not interfere with my fairing mirrors either. You will sit up about an inch or two higher not reaching for the bars. Thanks, Jerry

I just put beach bars on my crossbones trike and the width made so much difference that it rides like it has power steering. My beach bars are about 8 inches lower and 8 inches wider so I did not have to change cables. But I had to wire them inside the bars since they were after market and did not have any wire dimples. If you don't want to wire inside the bars, I would recommend a wider set of stock Harley bars or after market bars that are dimpled for the wiring harness. If the bars are lower than the stock you can go as much wider as they are lower without changing cables. This will save you mega bucks if you are having the work done in a shop. And mega wrenching if you are doing the work yourself.
