I have been told that if I convert my bike to a trike I do not need to install the ez steer to it as it has rake enough and this would not help the steering that much, 2008 Venture. Anybody know for sure?

Welcome Larry again. Just saw your post in another string. When I converted my GW the installer told me to wait and see if I thought that it (rake) would be needed before spending the $1200. He was right, I'm fine without it for the past three years. Just keep the front tire above 40 psi.

Larry , Welcome to the best darn trike forum on the net. I think it going to be personal preference. I added the rake kit to my GL 1500 and it was like adding power steering to a dumptruck. I got mine from ZOOK (on this forum) and saved mega bucks.

I have a DFT Goldwing 66,000 miles no rake . It is heave steering but far from impossible to handle. Hair pin turns and some On ramps can cause it to be heavy, but normal twistys are not a big problem . As said try it with out . It is the same $ to add it later. It is on the front of the trike so it is not part of the install.
Don't be too quick to pre judge it . It takes 1,000 miles to get use the the trike. If after 1,000 miles you feel it is still to much than have it done.
