Another Balancing Bead Question
All this bead discussing has me wondering..... What do they do for the rear tires? I suspect you'd get the same result. HUMMMMM... This could be a very good thing.
I know nothing about beads. I seem to recall someone mentioning they sort of migrate around as you get moving to find their home. Does this cause a noticeable wobble or vibration? Also how much bead would one have to put in rear tires?

2 oz in front in tires our size
3 oz in rears.

They will start balancing about 15-20 mph. So you will not notice it.

Well, I put the new Metzler880 on the front, and took all the wieghts off the rim. Took a ride up to 75 MPH, and the trike was not at all smooth riding! Then, went back to the man cave, and inserted the beads. Took another ride, and brothers and sisters, the difference was like night and day!!!!!!! Smooth as glass! I then went back to said man cave, and dumped the 3oz. in both rears, and it rode even smoother. I would reccommend these balancing beads to anyone riding a bike or trike. My wife said I should eat some beads, to live a more balanced life! LOL Anyway, I think it's money well spent. I chose the CounterAct beads offered on E-Bay, they offered a "Trike Kit" with 2oz. for the front, 2ea. of the 3 oz. bags for the rears, an applicator, 3 dust proof schrader valves, 3 cool chrome caps, and a valve removal cap to use to take out the old valves. DynaBeads is the leading supplier, to be fair. I think they all do the same thing, basically. The CounterAct set was a tad cheaper, but only a couple of bucks. Try em, I think you'll like em! jimsjinx

Oh, and just FYI, don't complain about what shops charge for tire changes! It is not for the arthritic rider! That tire change kicked my... well you know. I was careful, bought rim protectors, and a Harbor Frieght bead breaker(20 bucks), and a set of EMGO tire irons. With all the cool do-dads, it still was a chore! Just pay someone to do it! jimsjinx
