How many Trigliders use their CB function? What channel/frequency do you leave it on? I haven't used a CB since the '70's and I'm wondering if there's a channel a lot of bikers or TG'ers use. Back in the day it was like channel 17 for East/West highways. I have to admit I haven't seriously tried using mine yet.

Tried CB on channel 19- what I did hear was mostly trucker talk. We use Channel 30 to talk between bikes when in a group. CB has fallen into an X-rated cesspool, at least around these parts.

I use it on ch 19 whenever travelling the highways. it's a good way to know wha's ahead on road. through NYC I shut it off. Too much continous noise, usually not in English. since I've never ridden with other trikes, I don't know what they use. Good to know where police are hiding especially.

Don't use the CB when riding by ourselves, when with my buds, we use 15
Also that's what our Blue Knights Chapter uses...supposed to be the " offical" BK channel....what I was told anyway.

OK, thanks everybody for responding. So there doesn't seem to be a common "biker" channel, except 15 for BK, 19 for trucks. Maybe when I figure out everything else about running the Harmon Kardon space communication device i'll feel comfortable trying to flip channels on the CB while I ride!! Heck, i'm still trying to get comfortable with listening to music instead of the pipes.

All you need to do is find a little-used channel, but passing through some of the larger cities and trucking-hubs....that can even be hard to do. 30 works most of the time in the clear. Some of these truckers can override channel 41....if there was such a thing.
