Plexus
to clean your trikes with? Am looking for some ideas for stocking gifts for my hubby. Especially a special type of cloth you use or any special type of cleaner, etc. Thanks.

I have four coats of Liquid Glass on my trike and my Shadow. I use RainX Glass Cleaner with micro fibre cloths (about $5 for 8 at WM) for touch ups and dusting. Works great.
Keep shinin!

On my bike, I always used Plexus on the windshield. For the paint, in between washings, I used Pledge with a microfiber cloth. Also, I kept one of those fluffy, synthetic dusters handy when it just needed a lick and a promise before a ride.
The microfiber cloths are a good stocking stuffer idea--they come in handy for a million uses. I used to carry one or two in my windshield bag with a little bottle of windshield cleaner for cleanups on long trips.

Don't take very good care of my trike, except maintenance, a wash now and then. I feel if I have some time, and the weather is good enough to wash and shine, I'd rather be riding.

I'd rather ride than clean but I like my bike to shine so I use an all-in-one cleaner and polish. AMREP Original Bike Spirits Spray Cleaner & Polish.

Caution it will make you lazy LOL
Anyone ever use a ShamWow cloth to dry thier bikes with? Just wondering if they were worth buying?
I use Plexus on the windshield, a California Car Duster for that quick before the ride dust off, and usually just wet terry cloth towels to wash with a mild car wash liquid. I have microfiber towels for cleaning off and shining with the pledge after the car duster is used.
Microfiber is great, but you need to replace them often. For example, if you do your windshield and hard bug parts or some other grunge gets on them it seems to get entwined into the microfiber forever. I replace that cloth with a new one and use the old one for non-critical use, like glass on the car.
For drying, I swear by a synthetic towel called the "Absorber" we got at Wally World, about $8.00.
We were given a set of those ShamWow towels, 'cause, well, "you know the Germans always make good stuff" They work fine, but I like the Absorber better.

I bought some of those "ShamWow" cloths at a bike show last year. They are great for soaking up spills - like on a rug or tile, I don't care for them on the bike unless it's to dry off the seat.
Good information! Thanks everyone and Merry Christmas!
