you might want to look at s voyager kit. maybe even find a used one. very happy with mine !!!! (vstar 1100)
Slowdog,
You might look into a kit from Casscounty trike kits on here, they are a sponsor on here. They maybe able to help you out, real nice people and nice kits too, just bolt on and go triking.
I have a 650 Vstar 650 with a Tow Pac Insta Advantage Trike Kit I just got installed. I personally do not like it, must be too much weight for my 650 to cope with. Wobbles with the slightest bump, forget gravel (it hangs up in the trike rubber and then catches into the fenders)....I thought I was doing myself a favor to attach that rather than spending more monies to purchase a "3 wheeler"....Sad for me. It is detachable but need to completely detach that "under belly" also as it will hang up on the slightest curbing. Ugh! Good luck in your search....Plus there is nobody in my area that works on kits except if you have a harley.
Hello, wish I could offer more info but unfortunately 4 days ago I ordered A Tow Pac Insta Trike Advantage Kit and finally found a small bike shop near where I live that considered installing it for me (they had never done a trike kit install) and they were the only place I could even find to do it reasonably close to where I live within 100 miles! I know right. All I know is now I have my "former 2 wheels up" with now "4 wheels" sitting under my carport that handles horribly. Even the installer told me "don't bring this piece of cr** back to me, I drove it here to your home and it sucked!" "Good luck lady!" Hard to even back up (I weigh 110 lbs, have to push the handlebar in front of the bike and roll it out onto the blacktop from my little gravel drive)....Then when trying to steer it it is like really unstable shaky, plus cornering it is like keep a strong healthy grip on it, turning to the right creates a lean but no lean to the right? The fender distance between it and the trike tires is the distance of my pinky finger? I called the factory and was told so sorry that you have no local place to get the "adjustments" done. I have the manual but gosh all mighty, I am not "wrench/bolt savy"....Now it just looks like I have a small "spaceship" sitting under my carport. Will never regain my monies of this failed venture and my have to resort to "uninstalling" some how, some where! I pray you have better luck with finding a kit that works for your 650. Sad in Dewey, AZ with a 2005 Yamaha Vstar 650 "Tow Pack'd"....People have walked by and just laughed at it...."Haha bike with training wheels."...Ugh!
