I'm beginning to do research in a different direction because of some issues and concerns I have with Motor Company Policies about trikes...what do y'all think????

It really is in what you want for a trike. &lt;br /&gt;<br />

These VW based creations have been around along time. A lot of them have shown the way for many to get into and enjoy triking. They are very attractive and a lot of different styles can be made because they are only restricted to the drive train. The frame and body are free design. They are usually wider in the rear because of the engine/transaxle width. Very good power to weight ratio, but the engine is also very old technology, but dependable. I would not expect very good gas mileage. My old VW beatles only got around 24 mph. Granted these will weigh less, but I would expect around 28 to 32 mph, my guess only.&lt;br /&gt;<br />

If you are worried about Policies and want to stay traditional then consider the new HD TRI-GLIDE.<br />

HD has been triking since the early days with their Service Car trike, even before VW trikes were in creation .

Personally I do not worry about the policies. If somthing goes wrong with my 2007 RoadGlide/Champion and they fix it great, if not then I will, or I will find a good mechanic to do what I can not. It may have to wait until I got the cash, but in 40 years of biking I have always found a solution. &lt;br /&gt;<br />

I feel that you should get what you like. The odds on something going wrong that will fall under a warrantee are pretty slim. Bikes these days are very well built and dependable. Even better, buy something a couple of years old for a lot lower price, that is in good condition and not worry about the policy at all. The money you save up front, can then be available IF something comes up. If you do your research you will know if a certain year/brand/model a couple of years old has issues.&lt;br /&gt;<br />

We do not favor the VW based trikes but that is just us and our opinion. Our opinion is find the bike that fits you in everyway that you can think of and a properly built TRIKE out of this bike will be the same and you will have to get use to the handling of it as a trike. There are alot of conversion themes out there and most all of them are very good but for some reason some are less expensive and just as good in their own right. If it fits then it is only a matter of budget and options. A educated 10 year old can install one but it takes many years experience to build one custom for you and this goes back to budget... We have spoken so may the flack begin.

Yeah it was O'le Guy. They asked me not to immediately post it until they had the prototypes tested and close to roll out and they would then announce it. Its close and looks to be a winner.
