Can anyone tell me if the 2009 Ultra Tri-Glide comes with an e-z pull clutch?....I have been told it does, but after riding all day it sure dosen't feel like it.

I would ask the service department at my dealer, but, when they tell a lady her mirrors on her street glide vibrate because she dosen't weigh enough, it dosen't exactly fill me with confidence that they know what the hell they are talking about.....

The 09's do come with the easy pull clutch. My wife had a terrible time with her clutch. After Chemotherapy she lost the feelings in her hands and feet, thus the trike to replace her Deluxe. When we talked to the dealer about maybe changing the manual clutch to a hydraulic, he replaced the clutch spring with one for a 96" motor. I can't remember the weight or pull pressure he quoted me, but that did the trick! Her bike now has 22,000 miles and the clutch is doing fine (I'm riding it now). We bought her a new '11 this year. The stock clutch on it is as easy to operate as the 'altered' clutch on the
'09.
Good Luck!

I know some say you don't have to lube the clutch cable, but I was told by a very reliable HD Mechanic that it will help to lube it. He recommended Motion-Pro. My local Dealer said they didn't carry it but they had and used Inox cable lube, I've been using that. It seems to help. my wife said it was much easier to pull the clutch on her Trike after lubing it.

After getting mixed responses I called Harley Customer Service and tthe 2009 does not come with an e-z pull clutch, nor, can you get the kit from Harley....there are some after market ones on the market...you just have to find them, Harley won't tell you who they are...they content because of the size of the enging you need a heavy duty clutch....wonder why tha logic dosent apply to other 103 or 110 motors?...

HEY.....EVERYBODY.....AGAIN.....I have an AIM VPC I am trying to give away. Read around, take the advice from the current VPC owners....forget all the other gadgets and get a VPC whether you want to buy mine or not!

All factory built 103 & 110 engines come with the same clutch spring which is also on the Triglide. There are some folks who are replacing the spring with PN 37882-06 which is the easy pull spring. One word of caution is there is the possibility of the clutch slipping when using the lighter spring, it may not slip right away but maybe as the clutch wears from mileage it may begin to slip. There are a good many folks installing the VPC which decreases clutch pull effort, 1550vt has been jumping up and down waving a perfectly good VPC he has for sale:laugh:, someone should take him up on it.

Hey...#3.....Wizard gets the commission. I will just buy your lunch next time I see you.

Seriously folks...this little thingy is THE answer to clutch-pull problems. They install in no time at all, you won't loose any fluid (except what may drip off the derby cover) and I have never heard of any failures. They are good little well-built devices.

I recently got a Motorman one and we installed it in his police scooter in the parking lot on his lunch break at a nearby Fire Station.....and still had time to eat lunch.

I got one from Dave (Ultraboy) around 3-months ago for a policeman....I think he still does.

BTW....Wiz...Ken told me your VPC was in-hand, so my obligation is fulfilled. If it smells like cheese....I used the same baggies that I had my grilled cheese sandwiches in the day before. Hot cheese is a good lubricant.....maybe.

Way to multi task ThumbUp.
