    Default Roadsmith customer service

so, i order a roadsmith kit to fit my 99 valkyrie, right ? now this ain't my first roadsmith kit, i had another valk, my brother triked his valk, i had a 95 wing triked, and owned a roadhawk, all made by the trike shop.

this is the first warrantee issue i have had. they say the mark of a good company is how they handle problems. check this out.

i had a vibration at 65 mph. days and days were spent balancing tires, one was out of round (tire co fault) jim told discount tire to replace it and paid for it over the phone. o.k. so that problem solved.

took off for a rally on the west coast, still have this annoying vibration at 65. spent days trying to find it, re=balance wheels, re-balance on a different machine, finally get the trusty dial indicator out and start checking everything that rotates, i find C/V joints with .001 and .002 deviation, not enough to cause any vibration and closer tolerances than most high dollar race cars, wow ! what a well built trike.

after umteen calls to roadsmith, talking to mike and jim, i finally index the driveshaft and bam! there it is, started vibrating at 50 till 70, even worse. i set up the dial indicator on the driveshaft and spun it -- yep, you guessed it, .013 out of round. called jim and a new shaft left white bear lake today, absolutely no questions asked.

it don't get no better than that folks. customer service with a smile. not much of that left.

i would reccomend roadsmith and the guys at the trike shop 100 times over all other brands.

My experience with Roadsmith and especially the Trike Shop of Daytona (my installer and maintenance shop of choice) has been superb in every way. These guys have exceeded all my expectations before, during and after the sale and I'd highly recommend them to any of my friends.

    update:

got the new driveshaft yesterday, installed it, all vibration is history now. these are good folks to deal with, if they tell you they will do something, you can take it to the bank.

anyone notice a growling sound on brand new pilot activ tires ?

That's why I went with Roadsmith for my 99 Interstate. All the good things I heard about the company and the kit. I love the look of it also.

I had always thought when I got a trike it would be a different brand. However, we looked at a Roadsmith trike at the Ruidoso NM Aspen Rally, test rode and purchased it on the spot. Then two weeks later we took a 3,000 mile trip and love it even more. I recommend Roadsmith to anyone

Roadsmith at Destination Daytona location rolled out two trikes for me to test ride in their then empty back lot. Led to me buying a Roadsmith trike. I believe her name is Anne, and she is nice to work with also,

Don, I couldn't have said it better. The Trike Shop of Daytona ROCKS in every way!!! Mary is also my sales / customer service expert, who always has my best interest in mind...from day one . Their technicians (Ryan in my case) are also amazing, extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented. That is exactly why I don't mind riding close to 500 miles (round trip) even for the simplest maintenance on my ROADSMITH!!!

I Agree ...Anne not only runs the Destination Daytona store, she grew up with trikes all around her and that's where the wealth of knowledge and pride comes from. After all, it is her father Dick Lindholm who started the Trike Shop / Roadsmith brand in his garage back in 1972 (I believe). He was also the first in the industry to design and build independent suspension that we all enjoy today!!! Ride On...

ive collected a list of issues with all of the trike mfg that i can find.
there are too many issues coming out of these plants--plants that make road worthy vehicles.
i may be wrong ==but im very curious if any of these plant could survive an automotive plant quality / process audit. none that kn of list any automotive mfg systems certifications

The folks in both shops in Daytona are awesome .. Dick, Mary and Anne are superb in Customer Support .. Dan and Ryan are the best GW tech's I have met in a long time ... Just sold my wifes 95 GW1500 Roadsmith and just order our new conversion for my 08 GW1800HPNA .. Am sitting on nails waiting for the kit to come in so I can take the scoot in and let Ryan have fun with it ...

Issues ... over 50K miles since 2007 conversion .. Only Issue I have had is I have to
get off every once in a while to sleep, eat and shower.

ROADSMITH .. They don't come any better ...

Mgammon - with you in every way regarding the Trike Shop of Daytona and their super crew. in everything they touch. With the GL1800 Roadsmith, my wife does not even have to get off the trike to sleep, she manages to do it constantly while we ride long distance. My next upgrade would be some sort of restraining system for her, so I don't lose her. Gotta check with my team of experts at the Trike Shop . Hope to see you on the road one day. Maybe Bikeweek 2012?

I bought a Roadsmith Kit and I was very impressed with the customer service. I had a special deadline on getting the kit and they did their utmost to make sure I got it on time. I talked to other trike owners and looked at everyone I could find (yes, I made a pest of myself) and everyone told me about the features to look for when getting mine. Roadsmith had allmost all of the features as Standard equipment included in the price. I also liked the looks of the kit as it looks like it came from the Honda Factory. I am really pleased and excited about my new kit.
