Are there other rear rims

I'm looking for some different rear rims for my 2000 venture other then the rims hannigan has to offer. Does anyone have or know of any thing more out there?

I just had my 09 RSV converted and was looking for rims myself. Pep Boys had some rims that would fit your bike. (15 x 7) The measurement from Hannigan. (see below)

The 15x7 size, 4x100mm bolt pattern are quite standard and readily available. It's the 39mm off-set that is/can be a bear to locate.
That off-set is CRUCIAL & NON-WAIVERING (not even +/- 1mm).
That being said, there are a few companies that do produce such. Check with Vern Polzin at R&V Trikes in MN as he has located a company that produces that size and off-set in at least 3 other styles.
Also, you can go with 16" as well,,, IF the bolt pattern (obviously) and off-set specs are adhered to. The tire size must be adjusted accordingly to insure that the overall diameter and width of wheel and tire combination is the same as the standard issue Hannigan 15" rim and 195/60 R15 tire. NO deviation.

Bare in mind,,, these as with any non-manufacturer accessories and parts being used in a non-sanctioned application is done solely at the risk of the owner and/or installer.

Yes as a matter of fact Vern is the one who is doing the trike install for me. I looked at his bike about a week ago. I liked his rims also. I told him of what I wanted to do. He showed me the fender well and the lip that is about a .375 inch. deep and had at least a .500 inch gap from there to the tire. He thought we could shave off about a .125 off the lip. I've looked at some roadsmith and champion trikes and they have no lip at all. That's is why we thought we could very a few mm or so to the outside. So I thought I could go with a 36mm to 39mm offset. I just thought they can't be that cruical. Even a slight difference in tire air pressure, trike installation body adjustment could throw it off a little. You think they would have given themselves a little ley way. Just my thoughts on the subject. Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate that.

The 39mm off set is crucial and not optional for those very same psi concerns you speak of as well as others. That off-set allows for the "margin" any moving machine or unit needs as it operates in real world application. To alter that margin is to invite an increased possibility/probability of undesirable issues.
Shaving the fender lip is also done at Dealer/Installer and Client risk. Those exist for both aesthetic and structural reasons. That is not to say it has not been done before without incident or negative consequence. However, undesireable ramifications have occurred and any issue resulting from such is not covered by the manufacturer as with any warranty on any product. Exercise due caution.

Very well put and I understand what you and they are saying. It's just I worked in Research and Development for 30yrs. and we would have never had put ourshevles in a situitation without more options. Just to be on the safe side. You look at roadsmith and champion trikes they have all kinds of options. On the venture we have two, chrome or no chrome. That's all I'm saying. I've waited all these years to have my venture triked and these are my options, bummer!! Thanks again Veritas44

No reason to "Bum-Out" at all. Quite the contrary. There are indeed more options available to you that will work with absolutely no problem. Being in R&D you of all persons understand the need to stay within the parameters that are already tried and true when seeking to expand horizons and individuality "within the box". (actually, you are one of those who discover and define those same parameters). Knowing exactly what specs to honor while seeking to satisfy your own unique tastes allows you the freedom to purchase and mod with confidence in the result and without fear of falling short or remorse in both effort and financial commitment. Experimentation and implementation with little or no possibility of anything less than success. That's a great position to be in. Run with it.
