Bike jacks

Because we had 2 wheelers for a very long time we have 2 bike jacks. Now that we are a trike family, the jacks seem useless. I can lift the front or back, but not the whole bike. Too much 'stuff' in the way at the balance point. Am I doing something wrong? Can't seem to come up with a 'fix' and I'm not sure if I want to spring for a lift table.

Suggestions!!??

Had the same issue...

Got a set of jack stands and they worked just fine. Jack up the back, hitch up the stands then lift the front.

Problem was I got tired of working on my knees (all dirty minds, shut up :D)

Trike lift is about 900 bucks complete so I sprung for it. No trike now but it holds two wheels just fine and the full trike wings that came with mine help hold the bike up until I set a center jack and straps.

Here's one similar to mine. Atlas XLT 1500 - Greg Smith Equipment Sales, Inc

I use it for my riding mower, ATV and to jack up the wifey when she's bad. LOL

Wizard.....we ALL know who has hold of the jack-handle....and it ain't you.

I just use to jack mine up one side at a time and put stands under it. I am a glutton for punishment and just loved to crawl around under there and do stuff. Wizard...being a weenie...sprung for the lift.

Screw.....just be careful around the oil-pan trying to use any lift.

After working off a jack and now a table lift, I'm glad I have a table lift to work off of.

I just purchased the Atlas 1500 high rise. Works great and helps my back while working on the tri glide.

I bought two small scissor jacks from harbor freight. $14.99 on sale. Fits in tight places.

I'll take a picture of it for you, pretty simple piece....just need one critical angle iron piece for catching the rail. I'll take a picture later today and post it.

I had the same problem after triking my bike. I found that the ramps I used for the car worked very well for the trike.( I use 3 ramps) Just drive up on them and you can change oil and filter very easy.It puts the bike about a foot up and very stable. I guess if you wanted it would be very easy to then use your m/c jack to go up onto jack stands. Just my 2 cents.
