After leaving the Cleveland Browns training facility, he was driving recklessly, at high speed and under suspension. Huge accident, but he was lucky with only a broken hand. Team charges may follow to and he must go to court about the accident.

BROOKLYN, Ohio -- Browns Defensive End Marcus Benard has been charged with driving under suspension and reckless operation after crashing his motorcycle into a barrier wall along I-71 on Monday afternoon.
Sgt. Scott Mielke with the Brooklyn Police Department tells Fox 8 News that Benard was charged on Tuesday morning.

According to Sgt. Mielke, Benard was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, which occurred after Benard left practice on Monday.
A police report on the incident claims that Benard lost control of the motorcycle in the far right-hand lane of I-71 near West 65th Street around 2:20 p.m. The report states that Benard struck a guardrail and was thrown 241 feet off the motorcycle.
The bike then proceeded without a rider across four lanes of traffic before slamming into a barrier wall that separates the north and south lanes of I-71. The motorcycle came to a stop approximately 687 feet down the roadway, according to the report.
Browns team spokesman Neal Gulkis says that the 26-year-old was first taken to MetroHealth Medical Center. Gulkis confirms that Benard broke his hand and was later transferred to the Cleveland Clinic where he remains in stable condition. Benard is scheduled to undergo more tests and evaluation. There is no timetable on his release.
According to Rick Hoffman with the Middleburg Heights' Mayor's Court, Benard's license was under suspension in Ohio for failing to initially produce proof of insurance during a traffic stop for speeding in May of last year. Benard was pulled over for speeding on I-71 at the Pearl Road exit.
Benard signed as an undrafted free agent with the Browns in 2009. He has played in all four of Cleveland's games this season.
