New to the trike world

In June my husband and I purchased a 2003 super glide with motor trike on it. I love riding so much with me controlling the handle bars. Yesterday we just went to look to see what fits me well. I must say we were just looking!!
Well we came home with a new baby. I bought a 2006 heritage soft tail..
It is is perfect shape. I would love some feed back on suggesting of who I should go with as far as trike company..

Most of the companies make a conversion for that bike. Who is going to do the work or are you going to have it converted? If you are going to have it converted find a recommended installer that is more important than what kit. Once you find a good installer then they should help you in selecting the kit that will fit you best.

What you want to do with it should be considered first in your conversion plans. What I mean is if you want a trunk then I suggest you look at a Lehman conversion kit. If you want a solidly-engineered old school look retaining a single rear fender you may want to look at a Frankenstein, but storage and bags will be a challenge. I have a 2011 Tri Glide and a 2000 Softail with the Frankenstein kit. I love them both, but you can't beat having all that storage space in a trunk (and a tour pak). I'm keeping the Tri Glide and de-converting the Softail.

Congratulations on your new bike and soon to be trike! You will love it . As mentioned above....... the major manufacturers all make a kit for a soft tail, and all make a high quality product. Your decision is not right or wrong! I suggest your most important decision factors are:

• fixed or independent suspension. For the driver there is not much difference in feel but a passenger would have a smoother ride with IRS. I personally would use fixed suspension again as I ride almost exclusively solo, and I love the handling in corners with what I have.
• experienced, highly recommended kit installer!!! EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!!!
• Personal preference on appearance -- trunk/body or sporty like the DFT kit

Whatever kit you choose, DEFINITELY get the front end rake added.

I chose Champion's solid axle kit for my Fat Boy trike, and have never regretted it. I liked the appearance, their costs worked for me, and there was a fantastic installer near me who worked with Champion.
