After my wife passed away. I thought I would keep the trike for something different. It is causing me way too much pain. Every time I ride it I get so upset I just want to give up.
I do enjoy it and it is very helpful when shopping.
I bought it for her and she only got to ride it on the back 1 time and she go so sick I had to rush to get her back in bed.
Maybe latter I can do something. It will help with all these medical bills that keep coming in.

This has been such a painful experience for you! You will be much in my prayers, dirtdobber.

Condolences and Prayer to you Sir.
The comfort & strength you need and deserve are at your avail. Jeremiah 33:3.
He keeps His Word.
Healed me. May it help you as well.
He will never give up on you. He only asks for the same from you.

Please accept my Sincerest Condolences, "dirtdobber"..........You're going thru the grieving process and that's always a personal journey, one that a person gets thru in their own time. Please take whatever time you need to heal up as best you can, knowing that others are thinking and praying for you.

If you have the option, you might want to wait before making any definite decision on selling the trike. You know that your wife would want you to continue to enjoy Life.........It might be difficult for you to see right now, but please consider that there may come a time when your perspective on owning the trike may turn around, allowing you to view it from a more positive light. What a joy it might be to keep that trike as a Tribute to your wife, riding it in her Memory, knowing that she's with you in Spirit........

Peace and healing to you........

My heart goes out to you, d'dobber . . . hope you can find another way so you can keep the trike - ol' grey is right, she'd want you to be happy. Take good care of yourself; you have a big bunch of friends here whenever you need to talk . . .

I lost my husband in 2002. It took me almost a year to make logical decisions. Many of the decisions I made before that time I regretted. Please take the time to do some healing before you make major decisions. Your life will improve as time goes by, you just need to take that time! If you need to talk, send me a pm. On a new light, I remarried a little over two years ago and life is good! God bless you in your loss!

Yes this will take some time.
I am retired 11B/11DE from the Army. Even blew up and shot many many times.I have had to match body parts to body just my the color, held many that passed in my arms. I have never had a hurt like this.
Not sure if my nightmares or flash backs equal it.
The bills are becoming difficult to pay or should I say keep up.
Thank each of you for your thoughts.
Now send me a buyer LOL

dirtdobber,

I too lost my wife not so long ago. She passed away Oct.5/2008 at home in my arms. Carole was only 50 and she had an appendix-based goblet cell carcinoid that was treated but finally got the best of us.

I didn't have a trike or ride at all until just over 2 years ago. I think Carole would have been surprised that I would have become interested in motorcycles. The trike was the best option for me as I lost both legs below knee in a railway accident at 20.

Even though I knew I was going to lose Carole to cancer, nothing can prepare one for the actual loss. It still saddens me that there wasn't a damn thing I could do. I could only be there and love her.

I will say a prayer for you my friend that your pain can lessen with time. I feel Carole watches over me and I think of her every day.

David.

Dirtdobber, I am very sorry to hear about your situation. I have 4 close friends who each have lost their wives in the past 3 years. They each handled in their own way. 1 has sort-of withdrawn since he retired (although we are going to his daughter's wedding in November) another remarried last summer, another has basically kept busy, and the last went out and bought a Honda Shadow and goes riding whenever he can. Here's hoping you find the peace and comfort you need in whatever way suits you. I'll be praying for you.

I posted the trike on my local face book sale page. The next day I had a message to call this guy. I called around 9 am by noon it was gone.

Thank each of you. I will be poping in from time to time.

Hey Dirt. So very sad for you. Please consider this..... If you sell that trike, you will regret it later. That is a special trike now. It is very special. I know what you are going through, but my wife's time is not come just yet. I used to think I could never stand to ride our trike, if she goes. But after a long time, I realized, I couldn't sell this thing! It's OUR trike. OUR special place. I'm not very good with losing those I love, and I have lost several this year. We are all pulling for you, and prayers are up. God give you some peace buddy. God bless, Jim (jimsjinx)

My heart goes out to you and the pain you are feeling, hope things get better for you. It's hard when we lose someone we love time seems to help but we never really get over it. Maybe if you can't ride your trike you should get something else to ride to keep you busy. Prayers for you and her. Ride Safe.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Nothing can be said to erase the pain you are feeling. I am sorry to say that there is no way through it but through it. Remember to keep living, my friend, things will get better over time. I promise.

Condolences Dirtdobber. I have adjusted to bring alone and it's not an easy adjustment to make. Keep busy, that helps. I am in the market for a trike. If your serious about selling I would like details about the trike. Thanks and sincere wishes for your personal peace of mind.
