Trike Hauling Trailer

For any of you Trike owners looking for a hauling trailer, I think I found a winner. I looked at a lot of different ones and feel this will fit the need. I have some pictures in an album on my profile page. The biggest advantage is the ease of loading. The deck lowers to the ground and the trike drives right on. Once loaded, flip a switch and the built in compressor raises it to the designated/constant level. It comes in different sizes for single bikes, trikes, even a Smart car. It has air ride independent suspension and really handles well behind the vehicle.

I bought the ASTII price was $3500.00. I haul a 2000 GW Hannigan conversion. Loading is easy trailor lowers to gound and raises to trailoring height with air shocks. The trailer pulls easily. I hauled with a 2002 Lincoln Continental. Pricy but convient for the older rider.

I use my snowmobile trailer.
Ramp in the back, drop it down, drive in, tie downs around front tire to eye bolt in floor, tie down from trike trailer hitch to eye bolt in the floor, close ramp and away we go.
24 ft v-nose fiberglass enclosed Loadmaster trailer dual axles. 1,500 empty weigh with electric brakes on front axle.

Our Wells Cargo 16' trailer is similar - dual axle, electric brakes and all - and rides easily behind our Navigator. Ramp edge folds right down to pavement, so we need no additional ramp, and the trike fits just fine. Great investment!!

I have been looking for a lightweight trailer for my Stallion and have not had much luck in finding one in my area (South Texas). This trailer looks ideal! In my searches I had come upon the Air Ride Corp web site and will probably contact them.

I am, however, reluctant to buy something this expensive without at least getting input from someone who has that product. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated! I came upon this posting on advice from Charlie D. to contact you about your trailer.

I haul all my bikes with a Big Tex 35MC, torsion suspension, 3500# axle with flanges for brake addition, 2"ball hitch. I had a tire capture chock welded on, even though this hauler has 3 tire wells built in with covers that flips up and act as a chock. the ramp slides out from under the deck and is low enough to load my Goldwing/Lehman trike with running boards on with plenty of clearance. In the pic I don't have the trike strapped but I have a strap made to fit the tire above the capture cup and straps the tire into the lower front trailer frame/support (no fork tie down, the bike rides on its own suspension saving damage to the seals).

The rear is tied down by a clevis through the trailer hitch and mount. Lehman recommended this area with a side to side mild rearward pull tie down. I do run a 2" strap from the front of the trailer through the trailers center loop tie down to the hitch clevis (no load just long enough to reach). A safety in case things come loose there no rearward movement. To those that know this trailer yes I did remove the stone protector it was like towing a sailboat.

Nice looking trailer, but I'm afraid I'd have to sell a kidney.

Check with previous buyers before you buy. Always a good thing to do.

I just purchased a enclosed 7' X 10' RC V-nose single axle trailer electric w/brakes for my '12 Goldwing trike and will be heading for Florida soon.
My trike loaded inside the trailer weighs in @ 2330 lbs. total weight (Had it weighed on a official truck scale.)

It's just the ideal size for the trike because I don't intend to haul anything other then my trike.

Trailer price: Your looking at $3,200 with factory installed brakes with a spare tire.
Then additional $$$$$ to have the wiring added to my '15 Toyota Highlander, towing cap. @ 5000 lbs.
I had pictures of it with the trike tied down in it on here some time back but deleted them.
