65 Sunny & light winds on Saturday, what a beautiful day to enjoy a ride, until the evening news came on. The Highway Patrol suspects the driver had been drinking.
58-year-old James M. Renison and his wife, 56-year-old Doris were killed as they were hit by a car driven by 43-year-old Shawn Redmon of Springfield, as he drove left-of-center causing the crash.
I didn't know this couple, but they and their families deserve a prayer this Sunday morning.
Noticed that I failed to mention the husband & wife were enjoying the beautiful day on their bike.
Be Safe.

Happens all to often, we are targets of anybody driving on 4 wheels. Sometimes even the best most experienced riders get taken out-nothing he probably could have done. Sad story
also sat. i believe another 52 year old biker was killed in indy. as per channel 13
a older lady pulled out in front of the biker. as in so many cases she didn't see him.
be very careful out there.
Even more sad is the fact they get away with it. I think if the court system would make them pay with hard time, the cagers would get better eyesight! Prayers for all these families.
IMHO we as bikers & trikers have to stand up for those who are injured or killed as we are the next to be hurt if we don't follow the prosecution of the people killing & injuring us.. The prime example here in the chicago area was the outpouring of support and the constant swarm of bikers & trikers following the death of Anita Zoffskie a biker on the way home from blessing of the bikes 2 years ago who was struck & killed by a person appling nail polish while driving and said she didn't see the blker at a stop sign . There was an outpouring of riders at every hearing on the case and press coverage wouldn't stop. It resulted in a conviction not long enough but a conviction & Jail non the less.
