Changing bars on a Trike

If my wife (TNTriker) decides to keep this 2012 Triglide, I will be changing the bars so she can situp straighter and relieve the shoulder pain that's caused by reaching forward. I installed the 2 inch pullback bars on her 2010 SG trike. Along with Mustang seat, she was very comfortable with this setup. She said it gave her more leverage in the turns as well. If nobody has a better suggestion, I'll probably do the same with this 2012. At the same time I did her trike, I put the Heritage bars on my RK. They worked great for me.

Same combination I have on my Fatboy/MotorTrike conversion - pullbacks (although I think mine are 3"), Mustand seat (w/ driver backrest). Great improvement over the stock setup.

sometimes just changing the seat can bring you higher/ lower and more forward without having to change out the bars. You just have to find a seat that suits your needs. I have even noticed just having my seats recovered and some foam added/removed made a huge diference.

Thanks, this is what I'm asking for. Idea's from trike rider's on what they have done. Want to do it right the first time. It's not a bad job changing them. I want to stay with bars that I don't have to change cable's though. I didn't have to change the clutch cable when I put the 2 inch bars on her 2010. I rerouted it to have more slack. Did you have to change cable's with the 3 inch?

No clutch cable change - I also was able to pull enough slack to make it all work. I was actually a bit tighter in the front brake line area than the clutch cable. I had to move a clamp on the fork neck area to allow a bit more slack on the brake line, but it all worked out fine with no binding and interferences.

I have to 2" pullbacks on my '09. I did change out the clutch cable, I figured for about 35 bucks it was worth it.
