Both my partner and I have air hawks for our trikes and really love them. We bought ours on Ebay but cannot remember how much we paid. I think they were under $100 each. See if you can borrow one and go for a long ride before you buy.
Anyone tried out these inflatible seat cushions? How do they hold up and keep from leaking air? I met a guy who has one and he swears that it helps his bad back. He also said that they sell for a lot less at medical supply stores. I've been looking for one at the med. supply stores but the sell them for almost MSRP of $150.00 he told me that he paid $50.00 for his but did not remember where he bought it online. I would like to try one for what he paid but not $150. thank you for any info. curley

Got a large one for my large butt. really good. best not too much air in them for comfort. mine doesnt leak air and had it 12 months.
I've had one for several years and many thousand miles. A great product even if you have to pay MSRP. Like several others I got mine off e-Bay and paid around $80. I've seen them on other forums (used) for $40-50.
The key to their use is just enough air to keep your butt off the seat.
THANKS FOR ALL THE GOOD INFO. it looks like an Air Hawk is in my future.

I agree with not putting too much air in them - else they get hard. Mine has never leaked. It's a lot more comfortable than the seat on my 900 vulcan. Plus, I don't even have mine tied down - it stays right there and doesn't slip.

Is the medium the size for the goldwing 1800?
Does anyone recommend the "R" style - the one with the extra cutout area in the front and the center for the extra 'men's' comfort?
Their web site has a size chart for various bikes. curley

The medium is the correct size for the GL1800 seat. Works great.
love mine. Small amount of air so that it "moves" under you and cushions your butt

I don't use the Airhawk but my wife uses hers in the passenger seat and will not ride without it. Had it since 2005, she has a bad back and swears by the Airhawk. Ours has not leaked. Adjust the amount of air to fit yourself.
