WOW!!!!!!!
NAVY SEAL EXTRACTION
Below is a rarely seen video of a U.S. Navy SEAL extraction filmed from inside an MH-47 Chinook helicopter. The pilot has lowered the ramp, dipped the tail end into the water to partially flood the compartment (a maneuver that requires very precise flying) and awaits the Navy SEALs to board in their F-470 Zodiac.
Very few pilots would attempt this. It's too easy to lose lift, and ditch the whole chopper.
You have just got to love the skill of our military....

I joined the RAAF in 1973 for 3 years. During that time there was an air exhibition at one of our bases near Sydney.
On eof your giant C5 galaxy transport aircraft landed then it raised its nose to reveal a tiny jeep parked in the middle. it was there to show us hos large the aircraft was.
simply amazing.

Great video.... Thank you....I love the Chinook helicopters...A small correction though..the pilot does not lower the ramp, the flight engineer does. I was a flight engineer on Chinooks for 9 years. We practiced water landings but we did not allow water to come into the cabin like that...bold move. The Chinook is an Army helicopter. Most Chinooks have a CH designation but Boeing built an MH model that is specialy modified to support the special forces of all branches of the military.
