How high is the clearance from the Aqua shields to the road? Is it possible to crack or break them when you go over speed bumps or a road that has large rocks that cannot be avoided?

They are are about 4 inches off the ground on mine. They do drag sometime over speedbumps ect. but on the M/T it has a support frame under it. The steel frame is actually what is dragging. It is possible to hit rocks ect. from the side that would break the fiberglass. Here is a pic of mine and you can see the tip of the support tube under the front of the shields just sticking out.

Jim is right you do drag over the bumps here. I was actually beached on top of one when I went over slowly. I remedied this by pumping the air up so lifting the trike up a bit.;)

One of the 1st things I learned when riding my 2 wheeler with my trike riding friend was to NOT follow him closely into parking lots that had a steep transistion from the road. The 1st time he came to a snails crawl and entered at a strange angle left me hanging in traffic made me pucker.
Maybe I need to put a 2" lift kit on mine when it comes LOL !!
anyway.. I've heard his scrape pretty hard and no adverse effects yet. Other than bending his safety chain hook on his trailer hitch.

It depends on the trike kit and the rake; in addition to the design. Some lower ground clearance more than others.

My current trike has running boards. I thought they were a plus but would not go with them again. They make it impossible for me to toe walk the trike out of parking spaces and after riding in the rain both with and without; I now know that my boots provide rain/spray protection that's just as good. They also make service less convenient and cleaning more time consuming. Next time I will save the money and the weight.
