I did read a notice on Bushtec website in big red letters that a hitch will void the HD warranty. Bottom line though is that brakes, suspension, tires, engine and drivetrain are designed to propel, control, and stop a specific mass or weight safely.

Weight is not an issue with me, as I only ride one up, (no way to take a passenger, since I'm stripping the TG down and never pull a trailer. It would be interesting to see the weight that a lot of trikers/bikers carry and what weight they pull in a trailer. We ride alot, and I've seen some very interesting loads on & behind trikes/bikes. We have the same issue with our toyhauler. It can carry so much weight safely, after that, it could get dangerous! If you go over the limits and exceed recommendations, you have no right to complain about performance or other issues caused by the abuse.
