I took my 2005 goldwing in yesterday to transform it. My CSC CobraXL Kit arrived in perfect condition today. It is just a few days from being transformed. Can't wait
Thanks

I think you will be pleased.RIDE SAFE
Don't forget pics, pics, and more pics!!!
Congratulations!!!
Waiting is hard but will be worth it.
I know exactly how you feel!!!~ I went through that anticipation a year ago next month and enjoyed every second of it.
I stopped by the Trike shop today and they had the rear end and front end done. It looks so different with the rear end off and the CSC frame installed. The installer (Roger) showed me the drive shaft and explained how it was going to be installed and welded in place. I ask about it being straight and he said it would be because it fits together pretty tight. We talked about 30 minutes as he went around the bike explaining what I was seeing. It was Kool) I can't wait to take it out for a spin.
PS he is taking pictures for me and will email them to me when he is done. I think he is as excited about the kit as I am.
Thanks
Randall
Stopped by again Saturday and Roger was installing the ground effects. I think he will be done in another day at this rate of progression. I noticed he is just a picky as I am on the fit. He worked with the ground effects for quite some time to get them just right, this was good for me to see as he will be doing most of my maintenance from this point forward. The Trike is looking good. I hope the weather holds for next weekend so I can polish and take pictures of my new baby))

Won't be much longer!
Hope u enjoy it as much as I do mine.
Had my 2008/1800 done 2 years ago. Haven't stopped smiling since.
Ride safe.
Randalldavis, what did the installer actually weld. Had mine done 3 years ago with 0 miles on a new 1800. Didn't know they had to weld anything. I thought it all bolted together. Curious minds want too know. Oh yeah you will enjooyit very much, I'm sure.
chickie, there is another thread somewhere about CSC recommending to have the splines on the drive shaft welded. Actually to have the shaft welded so the splines don't strip. I hope I'm explaining it right.
That is true. They welded the drive shafts together. I picked up the Trike today and went for a little ride and I must say I am impressed. It is so smooth and sounds good too. The only road I can feel is from the front tire. The rear just glides over rough roads and cattle guards.
My wife went for a little ride with me and she immediately liked it. She told me that she felt comfortable now that I wasnt telling her to stop leaning or moving around when we are stopped. This was a good thing....I see lots and lots of rides in our future. She already said she wants to ride cross country this year with me. All this is just one afternoon of riding..
Gotta love it

Here are a few pictures of my new toy

It's GORGEOUS!! Looks just like ours before all the 'safety chrome' and the pinstriping and the extra 'extras' and all the other stuff we've put on it!!
Would dearly love to see it at Maggie Valley in June - we could compare notes!! We think our 08 CSC is wonderful, and you'll think the same after some 'big rides'!!
Wife is going to be very comfortable on the back - I usually take hundreds / thousands of pictures (no exaggeration), but often drop off to sleep if we're in the middle of nowhere (as we sometimes are). Positively no qualms about going cross-country all by ourselves; we've been from one side of the US to another, and some up & down. We pull a matching Escalade trailer with cooler, luggage, tools, etc., and can go 700+ miles every day.
You're gonna LOVE it!!

I was born and raised in Murphy NC so I know all about Maggie Valley and all the good riding there. Wish I was able to make it then???
We went for a ride today and the wife totally loves it. She was "dancing" as she called it, while we were riding. The point being, she can do whatever she wants and I don't tell her to be still, don't lean, keep your head straight...She wants to go to Palm Springs next weekend to visit our Nephew in the Marines. I say when do we leave....
