Goldwing wont run on diesel

5.5 gals sucked it out with mity vac pulled sending unit so i could reach to back of tank with paper towels fill up with GASOLINE all is good just wasnt on to do list today

I know a person who I won't name who filled their Harley with Diesel while on a trip, should have heard the engine ping:D. As luck would have it the dealer was still open so they come to the hotel and took it away. They drained the tank and replaced the fuel filter. Now when I stop in there they ask me how the other persons Kubota is running:laugh:.

Easy to do. I almost did that on my Wing several years ago and when I almost did that with my Harley, I noticed that Harley had an insert that wouldn't allow the diesel nozzle to fit in my tank. That saved me on that day.

</div>Amen! I always double check before I fill the Ram's tank...

Neighbor did the same thing while on a trip. Get most of the diesel out the rest mixes and will not harm anything as long as you got most of it out. The fill up should be with the highest Oct gas that you can get. Her brand new CVO is still running fine.

Be extra careful at the BP stations. All the pump handles are green and its easy to screw up...especially when youve been driving all night and are tired.

Knew a guy that traded in his diesel Ford truck on a brand new decked out F350 King Ranch with a V10 Gas engine. First time he filled it he topped it off with diesel. Jumped on the feeway and did not get very far. Had it towed back to dealer,,had a lotta issues with voiding his engine warranty. Dunno how he ever came out on it.

Likewise with my 2006 Jeep Liberty (Diesel) that was taken in for service and the dealer topped it off with gasoline (approx 15 gals in a 18 gal tank) ran about 1 1/2 mile and quit. The had to drain all the fuel, and replace filters and oil again. Ran fine afterward, but was costly mistake to the service guy who put in wrong fuel. (Green fuel cap and Diesel Only sticker right above the fuel door)???
