Seeking opinions about a GL1800 trike I'm thinking of buying.
Just so you are aware, the ECU on the 01-04 models are experiencing a lot of failures and need replacing. The signs are that the check engine light comes on and shows a 26 or 25 code. Changing fluids in rear end.
Just an fyi, if you can see where drive shaft connects to the differential, it's worth a good look. If it's pretty gunked up, there is a good chance your pinion seal is leaking and needs to be replaced. It happened to me and I didn't notice it because the gravel pan hid most of the problem. Fork rebuild, Fork Oil weight with Progressive Suspension...
Well what's done is done. Forks are now filled with the 10w, cleaned up and reinstalled. New Battlax BT46 mounted 😭 along with wheel and fenders cleaned. They haven't looked this good in a long time. Seeing as how you are getting the conversion done at the factory, they will follow the install instructions exactly. And it shows both being removed in the instructions. Weight distribution on a Viper trike

Steering head bearing adjustment questions
And the 8k check on steering bearings comes from the CSC recommended servicing, not Hondas. Although it might be recommended by Honda as well, I didn't check.- pwhoever

Avon tire wear
So the whole wear bars on these tires had me confused. So I did some research and found what I was looking for. Updating DMV record once trike conversation is done
Ok, looks like I stand corrected. Here is the title I ended up with in Illinois And I was able to look at my Wisconsin title which has cycl under Chassis and also lists it as a motorcycle. I guess they know best but the title I surrendered to Wisconsin definitely stated it was a trike...- pwhoever

Interesting thing on my Cobra Chrome Trike tire... I have looked and looked and cannot find the wear bars at all. Mine looks very similar to yours. I did a road trip of just over 3000 miles last month and still looks about the same. I checked several grooves close to center using the upside down...- pwhoever
