Product ideas sought for freshing up a "new" barn find bike

Product ideas sought for freshing up a "new" barn find bike I have become the owner of a 2004 Moto Guzzi EVT (touring) 2-wheeler. The bike has 204 miles on it. It has only a little black heel mark on a pipe where the owner dragged his foot looking for the kickstand (and some really old gas) to...

    Right Coasters Beware

I got mine in October while I was running for the left coast. I got clobbered in SD and MT. Here's my Livingston Postcard: Back in Sitka, when it got really cold we'd all huddle up around the open fridge for warmth.

    cooling solved??

I mounted my cooler in front and inboard of the right rear wheel. You might be able to do something similar. I "scooped" the area in front to increase airflow, and added a temp-controlled fan behind with a manual override. I was overheating in 90+ in stop-and-go traffic/stalled freeways, etc...

Leading Link procured. Want to "float" the brakes. Need help.

Leading Link procured. Want to "float" the brakes. Need help. Hi! I've found an early "UNIT" leading link front end to replace my raked trees. Part of the my motivation is driveability and part is that the LL more suits the visual style of the rig. I've gotten through the basic...

Need help identifying motortrike irs disk brakes

As the title says, I'm trying to identify the rear disk brake members of a 2012 Motor Trike adv. It has the 7.5" Ford punkin and Ford spacing on the wheel lugs. It's an open-axle, Cv-joint setup with airbags. Motor Trike won't talk to me. The dealer in WA will say only that it's Ford brakes...

    I Hate Reverse

I did some heavy, backwards thinking for a long time when I designed my trike. The electric reverse was not an option because I have a fluid drive instead of a mechanical connection to the rear wheels. Ditto with most mechanical reverses that attach to/within the transmission. Since I have no...

Lurker checking in for the first time

Thanks for the welcomes, all! I didn't list the shakedown problems to whine about them. I just wanted folks to know it wasn't perfect out of the box, and it's still got a ways to go. Part of the fun of building something is dealing with the consequences of the limits of my skills by the side...

Lurker checking in for the first time

Thanks! Yeah, 20+ foot tides do their thing very quickly on account of there's a lot to fill and empty, and a set amount of time in which to get it done. When an Alaska tide gets busy it can and will outrun you. I was at the Red Dog gift shop one day when a really big guy came in complaining...

Lurker checking in for the first time

Thanks for the welcome! Here are a few from the final stages of 'completion' before I left Sitka in June: The basic visual concept is "Mad Max Meets Model A". I was after a vintage look and an industrial/punk feel. It features 10gal fuel in those Gerry cans, 115amp alternator...

Lurker checking in for the first time

Hi, all! I go by Rodekyll, which is also the name of the 1976 Moto Guzzi Convert that I've had since 1978. I've lurked this site on and off over the past few years as I've been building my concept of a trike, but have waited until now to join the group. I'm in Sitka, Alaska, right now, a tiny...
