    Setting Harley Carb Float Level

I just finished adjusting the float level on a TC88b CV40 carb. I used the procedure in the HD manual - the best I could. Also consulted with my indy - who says he's always just eye-balled them and bent the tab until the valve closes with the float parallel to the bowl mating surface. I find the...

    K&N Stands By Their Filters

I took my air cleaner cover off yesterday to clean and recharge the filter and noticed the rubber had torn away on the outer surface, at the bottom. Although I realized this probably would not have an affect on the filter or performance I decided to contact K&N as they offer a lifetime warranty...

    Frankensten-Harley Exhaust Database

Have not been able to find one, so thought I'd start one. 2003 Harley Deuce, TC88B, 34" Frankenstein Hot Rod Rear Vance&Hines Big Radius 2-2: Fits with no clearance issues Vance&Hines Big Radius 2-1: Will not fit - swing-arm / muffler mount interference Vance&Hines Competition Series 2-1...

    Loss of Acceleration / Power, TC88 Carb'd

I experienced a sudden loss of power and acceleration today. Engine seems like it is laboring most of the time. Acceleration is about like a Honda 305. It starts fine, idles fine, takes off and cruises at 60 but feels like it's lugging all the time, acceleration is terrible, opening throttle...

    Clutch Cover / Cable Leak

Read the shop manual BEFORE tightening the trans end of the clutch cable! While crawling under the Deuce yesterday I noticed some oil on the clutch cable. Without consulting the manual, I proceeded to tighten the fitting where it enters the clutch cover - a little too much. The fitting ended up...

    Harley / Frankenstein Exhaust

Starting to look into the possibility of a 2-1 exhaust for my recently triked (Frankenstein) Deuce and wondering what others are using. Particularly interested in 2 into 1, what fits, how they perform, how they sound, etc.

Passenger peg relocation for Frankenstein 34" Hot Rod rear.

Passenger peg relocation for Frankenstein 34" Hot Rod rear. Can't use stock passenger pegs with Frankenstein Hot Rod rear, so relocated to front fender strut bolt. Easy fix - same threads, longer bolt required. Pegs up high - like old school choppers!

    Getting close...

Sold my boat. The wheels, tires, and Frankenstein rear have been ordered (34" Hot Rod). Expecting the wheels and tires next week, and hopefully the Frankenstein in about two weeks - a little longer than usual as I'm having it black anodized. Can't wait - but I guess I'll have to :yay:

    Inverted Springer

RedneckRay - have you ever built an inverted springer? Jeri's Springers in FLA makes them. I've always loved the simplicity of the design. I went back and forth between one of theirs and the Gambler Motorcycle girder, and ultimately decided on the girder - was convinced it would be better for...

    Harley Speedometer Recalibration

I'm anticipating having to recalibrate my speedometer once I trike the Deuce - tire diameters are different. I'm thinking of using the Dakota calibrator, and wondered if any HD owners had any direct experience with the Dakota or any other recalibration module?

    New old guy from Texas

Stumbled across this site just today. This is what I've been looking for. Been triking & biking for 40+ years (mostly triking). Recently purchased my 1st Harley (2003 Deuce) and fix'n to pull the trigger on a Frankenstein.
