The temperature gauge on my 16 Trike always reads several degrees higher than radio reports or Bank signs show? Is this something that is a problem with them all or is there a way to improve its accuracy?

I own a used 16 triglide that only had 2000 miles, always had vibration in handlebars at 80 and over. New front tire that is well balanced, same problem. Could be neck needs adjusting, changed windshield with no difference, could be in damper. What else could it be? Thanks!
