What rear tire will work best to drive my Voyager kit ?

I see where there have been posts in regarding using car tires on the back when using "out rigger" kits. I ride a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic, and have been thinking of installing a new tire on it to get more mileage. I have the Voyager trike kit. Any suggestions ?:xzqxz:

anyone compared Voyager to true trike?

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has ridden both a bike with the Voyager kit installed and a true trike? After over 50 years of riding two wheels, I bought a '07 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 with the Voyager kit installed. After riding it a couple thousand miles, I'm not impressed with the ride on...

easiest way to reinstall a Voyager kit ?

I bought my trike (?) last summer. It is a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic with a Voyager kit installed. Checking the manufacturers web site, it states it only take about 5 minutes to take off the kit. The first time I removed the kit, it was more like 15 minutes. But it took about 45 minutes...

using clutch on 90 degree turns

I've been riding two wheels for over 55 years, and just bought my first trike last summer. (Voyager kit) One thing that just doesn't feel right to me, is making a 90 degree left turn from a stop sign. I'm doing the push and pull thing, plus slowly letting out on the clutch. Just doesn't feel...

do all trikes have handlebar shake problems?

I recently bought a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic with a Voyager kit installed. I've been riding two wheels for many years, but thought I'd try a trike. I didn't want to spend $25-30K for a trike just to see if I would like it, so I bought this bike with the kit in case I didn't care for...

taking out and reinstalling drain plug on Voyager

Such a small hole in the belly pan to get at the drain plug to change the oil :( First oil change since I bought this bike with the Voayger kit. Using a extension and socket, it looks like I can get the plug out ok by feel, but it may be tougher finding the hole to reinstall the plug. Any good...

Changing oil and filter with Voyager kit ?

I'm in the process of changing the oil and filter on this "new to me" toy, and it looks like servicing that bike isn't going to be all that easy :( That belly plate is only 4" off the floor, and my bike jack is 5", so I'll have to find some way to get it high enough to get the drain pan under it...

    Voyager kit preload question

I bought a '07 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan with a Voyager kit installed. I'm trying my best to understand what the preload is all about. I saw one post that recommended 1/2" preload, then I found a post where the rider had his set at 1.5" preload using a 2x4 to set it. I don't have a clue as to what...

    steering damper pro/con ?

I was wondering if it would be worth the $$ to install a steering damper on my Voyager trike ? Input ?? Krazybob

    Have Voyager trailer wiring question

For those who are riding a Voyager kit, I have a wiring question for pulling a trailer. I bought this set up used and before I contact Voyager directly I'll ask here. The wiring for a trailer is a 4 pin flat plug, and then it has two single wires for the turn signal lights. Since I assume that...

What is the riding difference between Voyager and 3 wheels ?

I just bought a used 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 with a Voyager kit on it. Only have a couple hundred miles under my belt, but I was wondering if there are those here that have ridden a bike with the Voyager kit, and also a standard 3 wheel trike, and what was the difference in ride and the...

new forum member with Voyager questions

I've ridden two wheels for over 50 years, and a week ago I bought a 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic with a Voyager kit. I have a couple of questions for those who may have the same setup. Looking at the Voyager manual that the seller included, it mentions setting up the pre-load, and mentions...
