Guys,

I just signed up for this forum. I just had spine fusion on L4-L5 & I think my two wheel days are gone by.

I have a 2000 Road King 2 wheel. I may have access to buying a dead 2002 Suzuki 1400 Lehman trike.

Does anyone know if I can "sensibly" put the Harley front half on the Suzuki trike kit? They look a lot alike but it would be nice if the Lehman kit would also "almost" fit the Harley. That is Lehman frame to Harley frame. I don't mind doing exhaust, cables, wiring, etc., and even light mechanical frame work. I have put Ford motors in Chevy trucks, etc.

There's a lot of you guys out there & it sure would help if a bunch of y'all could say yes, no or maybe.

Welcome to Talk, Jim Bob…..As trikes go….. stay away from the Lehman… sourcing parts for them is a nightmare..

Well, we are already good & screwed then. My wife has a 2004 Lehman with an '04 Harley Electra Glide front half.

What do you think would be horrific for parts? Brakes, Master cylinders, etc.?

I'm just trying to figure out if they had like one Lehman frame & a bunch of adaptors? Or special frames for each bike mfg.?

First welcome Jim

Second I THINK don't know for sure but the biggest part that would require adaption would be the swing arm. The Suze and Harley are probably nothing alike. After that adapting the upper frame to the Harley should not be to difficult for someone with your experience. Does the suzi have a belt drive? or chain? The Harley has belt.

Brakes should not be an issue nor wiring the 2000 Harley was pre Body Computer Modules. Exhaust is just adapting a Harley exhaust to the Body which is probably the same. Good Luck with the swing arm. and rear axle drive. The parts that are hard to find are the rear drive and parts that are just Lehman. But most of that can be converted to something that will work.

Thanks Gorilla,

You actually completely helped me!!!

You said check into final drive. Well, that did it.

The Suzi Final drive is a shaft drive. The Harley, of course is a wide cog belt. I don't want that much pain to convert the Suzi.

You nailed it, man, thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum, from another noob! ThumbUp

I know zilch about the kit you are talking about, so I'll stay mum there.

But can we talk about the elephant in the room?

You put a Ferd motor in a Chebby pickemup truk? What in Crack pipe haven were you stinking?!? :Wrong:

Everyone knows: Ferds are what you put into boats. For anchors. Or ballast. Or to unload on an unsuspecting redneck on Craigslist.

To put one in a GM product? Oh the humanity!!! :gah:

Just kidding, I'm sure you're an okay guy anyway. Even if you do like FoMoCo's.

(Don't tell anyone, cause I'll deny it, but the 5.0 has the best sound of any small block out there. But that's just sound. Not enough to turn my block blue.)

Howdy and welcome.

Either buy a trike kit from one of the Trike makers or buy an already made trike.

I rode motorcycle many years after I had my L4, L5,S1 fused and rods and screws put in.

I ended up going to a Trike after my right leg began going numb, also 2 strokes so my balance was off, and that has worked well also.

Now I am getting an MRI on Wednesday to see if I need surgery on my L2-L3. If I need to have that done, that will be number 6 1/2 back surgeries. Count the half as they went in one time to just clean up the scar tissue.
