Oil Cooler screen 23 FW

Oil Cooler screen

J&P Cycles has a Klock Werks Oil Cooler Screen...for only $49.95. Questionable if worth that amount of $$$ based on 2 reviews. Here is a direct "copy and paste". This is an expensive piece of wire mesh screen. Might consider checking a Big Box store for Stainless wire mesh.

Perforated Stainless

Perforated Metal Sheets-Expanded & Perforated Sheets-Perforated Stainless Steel Sheet-20GA 0.12 Inch Hole (About 3mm)7.8 Inch X3.9 Inch-Metal Mesh Sheet for Ventilation and Fume Filtration.......available from Amazon in various sizes. Just need to cut the size required. From $14.99 up depending on size needed. Just an FYI. I may give this serious consideration. From the video posted on the item..looks to offer considerably more protection than a wire mesh butstill allowing air to pass thru....FengYoo Perforated Metal Sheets-Expanded & Perforated Sheets-Perforated Stainless Steel Sheet-20GA 0.32" Hole. This option might be even better as the perforated holes are bigger allowing more air to pass thru. jmho

Looks good. How does the trim around the oil cooler come off and is that the only thing holding the screen in place?

Thanks

There are two holes at the top, pry up with a flat blade while pulling forward. Once the two top catches are released pull forward from the bottom. The lower part has two pegs that push in to grommets. I glued the screen in place making sure it does not rub on the cooler.
