Molino, FL for now
I know a good while back I promised to be around more and submit more posts but I was side tracked last year when my overall health was deteriorating just after Daytona Bike Week in March of 2015. After a ton of blood draws my doctors narrowed down what was wrong to my right kidney. I didn't feel any pain during this time just lethargic, feverish, chilled and wanted to sleep a lot when I got off of work.
When I finally did feel pain (after weeks of people expressing concern about my paler than normal appearance...I was also pretty anemic during this time) on the 2nd of September I was admitted to the hospital and a week later my right kidney was removed. I was pretty "out" of it for awhile after the surgery but later found out that the doctors (3 with a 4th one called in to help) almost lost me....by the time I was out of surgery I had gone through 9 pints of blood and had 40 staples across my abdomen. I was finally released on October the 9th but still had a time trying to get the different medications I was put on to play nice with each other. After my recovery period I finally returned to work and this week marks my 7th week of work with no episodes or problems.

So that is what happened....sorry I have been gone so long and I missed being on this forum as well as some other forums I participate in.

So glad they finally found the cause of your problem and were able to resolve it. Welcome back and the best of health to you. As one that has also spent the past two years with highs and lows dealing with lymphoma cancer and the various tests and treatments I can very well relate to how great it feels to recover and enjoy life again.

Looking forward to seeing your posts on here on a regular basis.

I hate having to see a doctor but sometimes it's required. It's good that we have them. Case like yours could very well have ended a lot different. Let's just hope all is well from here on. Guess that puts a crimp on the beer drinking though. ;)
