Is anybody out there using the F4 +4 windshield? Does it provide for less buffeting for the the passenger? I presently am using the Tulsa tall windshield.
It is probably better than the gl1500 OEM, but does the FR do better?
Looking at changing.

Thanks
Jack

I drove my friends and really like it.
I have always had X-Tall Tulsa's and I'm switching to the F4+4 w/v next week.
One thing I'm tired of is the rain coming over the top and on my lap!!

I put the F4+4 on my trike last year with excellent results. The passenger still gets some wind but not bad at all.

Know what you mean about the rain. Let me know about the F4 when you get it on and use it a bit. I am not jumping immediately, but looking at replacement within a couple of months

I also have one and it's great! It really does cut down on the wind hitting your passenger! :10:

Check this site out. These people say they build F4+4. I believed them and bought one and it is same specs exactly. When they first got their website on line when you clocked on Motorcycle windshields the F4 site is what came up. I really like mine. It is same thickness .177 I think and has the slick coating on it and very easy to clean and is very stable going down the road. Mine is on a 2012 GL1800 Roadsmith Trike. Haven't had it in the rain yet so can't comment on that but price is excellent and about $150.00 cheaper.....

while the windshield choice makes a big difference don't forget the wind coming from the trike fenders. While investigating the wind flow on my 1800 trike I found a lot of air was coming from the upwash off the rear fenders. I added the lower trike wings and dramatically reduced the air turbulence on co-rider while still using the stock windshield. Additionally, I have the full set of Baker air wings which allow great flexibility in wind management.

I can't seem to access their m/c windshields; only the F4 site which comes up when I click on motorcycles.

I can't access their Motorcycle site either but also couldn't at the time I ordered. When I first started looking the F4 site came up when you clicked on the Motorcycle link but at time I ordered nothing would come up so I called them and talked with them. They told me they built the F4 for that Company. I ask them if theirs were exactly the same they said it had their name(Opticsarmor) on the shield was the only difference. I ordered one and that is exactly what I got as far as I could tell. I am very happy with it and saved a bunch.....

Thanks, yes, I have the mirror wings, the upper and lower fairing wings and the lower trike wings. Just trying to see if more help was there. But thanks for the input, that is what I was asking for.:):):)

Do you still have their number? Their site is blocked by my system protection and isn't allowed to come on my computer. If you have number I will call.

I went to their web site and can't see anything about motorcycles. I am going to call them in the morning. Thanks:wave4:

Did it. Ordered it. Thanks for the tip. Now, hope it lives up to billing. lolpepper:wave4:

Hope you like it. I really like mine and especially pleased with the savings. I wasn't going to pay the price for an F4+4.....If you haven't ever changed a windshield(I hadn't) there is some good video's on Youtube that shows how. Took me probably an hour or so to do mine......

No I haven't, and with my mechanical skills, that worrys the h-ll out of me. But Will give it a shot. Thank for the tip on youtube. will look them up. I didn't save $150, but got the +4 with vent for 279.00. I am happy.:D:D:D

I've been using the F4+4 without vent for the past 5 years. I am very happy with the windscreen. Cleans easily and does not scratch. Rain beads right up.

Only negative has been occasional fogging up. A quick microfiber wipe clears it up well enough to continue the ride. I keep one in the left front pocket.
