Hello, Is the windshield on your trike store bought or home made? Would you send me a picture please? I'm gathering info and ideas for one on my trike. Thanks for your time, Sonny
Finally got it figured out with YouTube and got up video of my alternator noise. The noise seems to be coming from just the alternator and not in side of the gearbox. Something to be concerned with as I'm thinking about taking the alternator out checking the bearings servicing them or replacing them would I be wasting my time?

The 103 actually revs higher by about 700 rpm to make peak horsepower. The M8 is less revvy and will pull the hills a bit better than the 103 without having to downshift. However, my 2017 runs out of steam at about 100 mph. I am getting about the same mileage with the M8 as I got with my 103 which is about 34-35 mpg on average. The M8 seems a bit smoother and there is no tranny clunk going into first gear. With the mods you have on your current 2014, I think you might get disappointed with the M8 unless you did similar mods. The only problem with that is that you would no longer have a warranty on the M8 engine as Harley has really constrained what few mods you can do to the engine and keep the warranty intact. As I mentioned, the M8 is torquier but I am not sure how much benefit you would get out of the upgrade? Harley should really be putting their 114's in this very heavy trike to eliminate some of the complaints that you have with yours.
Captain Bob. I see from another post that you have the M8 in your TG. How do you like it? What kind of MPG do you get? Is this engine's rpm at 70 lower than your 103? I am contemplating upgrading my '14 TG to an '18. The engine is the sole reason. I ride two up and pull a trailer. I "decatted" with a new header, tuner, wide band O2 sensors, slip ons, Stage 1 and more to make this pig wake up. It is much better but I find myself downshifting too much on slight grades. I also don't get any MPG even though I think I am getting 105-110 ft lbs of torque. SO your opinion would be appreciated.

Glad to see you made it past Harvey. My mom is under evac. orders in Daytona. Hope it all works out.
Info- I have a 2011 Honda Aero 750. It has Cobra Sweep floorboards. Are there any heel kicker add such as scoots work but they work with peg. I hoping to be able to have heel to toe on these boards is possible.
Thanks for the help.
