I haven't done one of these "Reminder Threads" in a while, and I've noticed a little bit of "TRIKE BRAND BASHING" and "FELLOW MEMBER LACK OF COURTESY" Issues popping up recently. Having owned and ridden most every Brand of Motorcycles and Scooters over the past 4.5 decades, including many no longer produced Brands, I can testify to the fact that ALL of Them have Their Quirks and Shortcomings if You ride Them daily and pack the miles on. Yes, "Some" more than Others, but the survivors of the "Motorcycle Market Wars" each have a Loyal Following of Owners that enjoy that particular Brand, or They wouldn't be survivors. Same for the Many Various Brands of Trikes.....ThumbUp

Each and EVERY Member here at TRIKE TALK.com is Really Appreciated, and Important for Their Membership, and Participation. It takes Participation and Cooperation to build and maintain Strong Forums. Fun, and Joking posts about various Models and Brands using the old "been around forever" clichés is "usually" alright and accepted, especially among Members that know each other personally...EXAMPLE: Last year at the TRIKE TALK EUREKA SPRINGS REUNION, I had been invited to a Member's Room (No Names Here) that rode solely Harley Davidson...I happened to notice His Harley Coffee Cup sitting with a napkin under it...I commented "If You'd get a Honda Cup, it won't leak, and You won't need that napkin under it"....We have known each Other since the 2010 TRIKE TALK MAGGIE VALLEY RALLY and had a good laugh about it...He poured rice out for my Honda Trike at the Next Rally so it would have "Fuel"...another Great "Over a Beer Laugh". "THIS" is how it's done.....ThumbUp

If You can't do it this way, then just pass over it, and don't do, say, or type any "contribution" to the Conversation or Thread. Everyone here at
TRIKE TALK.com have the right to be treated with Respect and Courtesy...and EVERYONE WILL BE...ThumbUp

Keep this in mind as You type here:

NO SERIOUS BRAND BASHING, MEMBER BASHING, OR LACK OF COURTESY TO OTHER MEMBERS...KEEP IT CLEAN FOLKS, I HAVE THREADS I WOULD PREFER TO BE STARTING AND PARTICIPATING IN, RATHER THAN THIS ONE...THANKS, skuuter

I agree 100 % :xszpv::xszpv:

My youngest brother rides a Street Glide, My middle brother rides a K1200 LT, and I ride this nasty high mileage GL1800. Do you think we are an equal opportunity family?? You should hear the banter when we get together.... :xzqxz:  :xzqxz:

I lead a group of guys around central Texas once or twice a week usually. Sometimes three or four of us - sometimes fifteen or twenty. Never have turned a single rider away and don't plan to start now...... Maybe one day some of y'all will come ride with me. :pepper: :pepper:

Thanks Folks...to keep this Forum the Absolute Best It can be, we just need to always remember that we all have a common interest, Trikes and Motorcycles (...ok, I have a Scooter fondness too, so "bash me"...), which actually makes us all alike in many ways. This common interest is also a passion for most of us, which in itself, pumps adrenalin into our bloodstream causing passionate "flare-ups" every time we're at the keyboard typing about our sport...before typing something negative, just slow down, pause and think about it...We're All Friends here.....ThumbUp.....would love to personally meet ALL of You in the future. An impossibility, but I'm working on meeting as many as possible each year....See Ya' out on the road, skuuter.....ThumbUp:10:

I may have read most of the thread you are referring to and I admit it got petty and was not entertaining at all on several accounts .It's one thing to joke around but another to take it all seriously so lighten up .

Actually more than one Thread, and not just any particular Member...it becomes a "virus"...if not checked, it gets to be a habit once Someone gets away with it sometimes, and it spreads. Rarely happens here at TRIKE TALK.com ,but on occasion, human nature prevails. Then it becomes the dreaded "War of Words".....Folks just need a Friendly Reminder occasionally...
All is Good Here.....ThumbUp
:10:...We can get back to Riding, Building, Learning, Sharing, and Socializing here at TRIKE TALK/TOI Thanks Folks.....ThumbUp

IMO there's absolutely no room on this site for bashing of any kind. Had enough of that on the "other" Gl1800 site. Don't visit there anymore. Too many really nasty people.

Yep, like I said, it's like a Virus, spreads quickly if not kept in check.....Fantastic Bunch of Members here at TRIKE TALK ...very rarely happens, and generally stops at the first hint when it's pointed out.....:)

I always play nice when I'm here, too many great folks ! I have ridden Harleys, Yamahas, BMWs and now a Goldwing because Becky likes it. I tell people all the time that I bleed Harley colors. Great reminder Skuuter! Now if it's done between friends and in jest a stranger might not realize it and take offence so lets be careful ! Charley

Yep, I generally totally refrain from Any "Brand" Jokes online...I save it for in person when facial expressions, body language, etc. can be read....and never bash Folks...ThumbUp...GREAT to hear You're feeling and seeing better too Buddy.....ThumbUp:10:

I am also a member of Ventureriders. The site was started for owners of the Yamaha Venture. Over the years many members have change bike brands to every make under the sun, but are still members because they feel they are members of a family. That is what it is all about, family, friends and riding. Not the bike. Although the founder of Ventureriders did just buy a.....dare I say it?..... A HARLEY!!!! And yes we all rib him about it. all in fun. We all still love him, After all, he's the Boss.

So, keep it light and fun.

It's about the ride, not what you ride.
