On the News here was a story about some council member in Austin Texas wants a new law to limit the amount of Smoke coming from BBQ Pits. :xzqxz:
and must be no closer than 150 feet or a property line :xzqxz:

WTH, Texas without BBQ smoke & smell, how can that be :Shrug:

The smell of bbq smoke in the air is absolute heaven in Texas.
If you don't like the smoke shut your windows or go somewhere else.
But then, Austin's official motto is: Keep Austin Weird
Some people seem to be doing a good job of that...

I don't know what happened to Austin - I was born at Georgetown in '53... through the years it seemed to be a nice, bigger place to go to shop and seek medical services. Seems like when they double-decked I-35 through town (in the 60's??) that things started changing. Then the "Silicon Valley" bunch moved in for a while....then.....:Shrug: Oh Well..! At least they are generally known for being very animal-friendly which I appreciate..

Same thing here. We have a lot of people who heat their homes with outside wood furnaces, therefore we have several smaller companies that build outdoor wood furnaces and the EPA is doing all it can to shut those small companies down. There is one co. near me that builds a EPA compliant furnace and they are still after that guy too. I suspect there is more to this issue on the wood smoke than meets the eye or maybe that should be the nose .

We have needed to move the capital of Texas for some time. It's been invaded by Commiefornians. Had to go there once to fight a electric right of way easement. I would have sworn I was in that left coast dump. We can take your property cause it's for the good of everyone. Our lawyer won the case but not cheaply. They don't give a rat's about the individual. They just wanted to roll over for the power companies. JERKS!
