Hello Illinoisans, I'm a Quincy resident. It is approximately 100 miles west of Springfield and 100 miles north of St. Louis. Plenty of river scenery with super blacktops for day tripping and a hop, skip, and jump into Missouri or Iowa. It is 20 minutes from Mark Twain's birth place, Hannibal Missouri. Hate the winters and if I could get the wife away from her large family and 5 of our 9 grandchildren, I'd be gone in a heartbeat. It's been a good place to raise a family so can't complain too much.
