Our trip to do the Dragon and the Blue Ridge Parkway was a "HOOT". Everyone had a good time and we saw a lot of the eastern US. America is "GREAT" for sure.
here is the video of the run down the "DRAGON's TAIL" Rest of the videos coming later. Enjoy the318 curves in 11 miles. Everyone needs to do this at one time or other.

Thanks for the video.

I did the Dragon and Cherohala Skyway a couple weeks about but my video didn't come out. It was totally "operator error"!! I sure did get a nice look at the top of the trees!! LOL

Thanks for the video. Looks like a nice ride. Ya know I live so close to the Dragon and have never drove it. From what folks have reported it is a tough run, but it looks safe and fun. I think it is the careless individuals on crotch rockets like the one that passed you that makes it dangerous. What surprised me also is that the road appears to be in really good condition with no pot holes or wash outs. Thanks again, I did enjoy watching. The weather is beginning to cool, think I and the wife will try it in October.

I don't know what has changed but we are unable to see a link to any of Phil's videos, beginning just this summer. Used to be able to see them all the time. They were always a delight to see...sorry we can't see this one - it's something we've always wanted to do but never will.

Maybe try the straight to link, copy and paste or highlight and right click, open in new tab or window.

That worked perfectly!!! Thanks :clapping: yeah that's some good riding for sure. Just curious, what was your average speed through those turns? As a new trike rider those sweeping curves and tight turns have some effect on trying to stay in the saddle.... :AGGHH:

Dragon Slayer

Just got back from trip to Deals Gap We slayed the dragon 9/19/16 Best time I've had with my clothes on in years. My road King / Motortrike with a zook rake kit took it like it was on a rail. My buddies on two wheelers couldn't keep up, I lost sight of them after the first photographer. My face hurt I was smiling so hard. The roads the people the weather and the scenery were great. Couldn't have asked for a better trip. :D

I've never made the Dragon, looks like a blast. I've read about some tractor/trailer trucks causing issues and I think I'd worry about those trailer tandems on my side of the road.
That throughbred stallion? sure has a good headlight.

Great video!

Deal's gap is a fun ride, very technical. The area is beautiful, but the curves come close and fast even at legal speeds, (which are 30mph) it takes close attention. The best way to enjoy the scenery is to be a passenger or watch your video later.

Bronson512 - Tennessee banned semi's on the road in 2014, a move that was needed.

I wasn't aware of that. Just watched a YouTube the other day of a semi vs motorcycle accident on the dragon. I Should have paid a little attention to the date. I have a friend who lives near the dragon and rides it quiet often. We've only spoken on the phone briefly the last couple years so I guess I've missed that bit of news. From what I understand a semi had no business traveling that hwy.
