Out for a short ride this morning, nothing special, we just had to get our Autumn ride in 😂 Expecting a "cold front" that arrives later in the day... Here's hoping the rest of y'all are enjoying the cooler weather. 14446053_10206646803320015_1947199436463730410_n.jpg

Started our ride this AM at 76* and ended it at 84*.

Ran up to Andrews for an Egg McMuffin and coffee, about 35 miles or so, one way.

Caught a little sprinkle both ways - just enough to warrant a full bike cleaning.

Stopped back by our local Honda dealer where we ran into a couple who had traded in a Harley tourer for a brand new GL1800 Goldwing for him.

She has a 2013 Harley trike for sale..said she was tired of fighting the heat and had put $5000.00 into it trying to make it comfortable.

We enjoyed kicking tires with them for a bit.

I told her about TrikeTalk if she wanted to look further into trikes and "fixes" rather than selling her Harley trike.

It was a good morning....:)

Did 120 miles riding in a local charity ride for Breast Cancer for our first autumn ride. Temp was 67 when we left this morning and was 71 when we pulled back into the garage this afternoon.

I did in 67* :clapping:

Michele said..yeah now that's what I'm talking about! She keeps telling me that it's just too dang hot here, wishing we had normal fall temperatures here ;) Welcome to Texas ! ThumbUp one season all year long.

I haven't been to Andrews in a while. I would go there each fall and play a bluegrass festival for 3 days, it was good. The local drug store had a soda fountain bar. Man they made the best ice cream sodas. I need to head that way and see if it is still there. Jim

Went for a ride yesterday that took us into northern Arkansas. We were hoping the temp would have been a little cooler but that didn't happen. We left and it was in the upper 70's and during the day it got up to 90 which wasn't bad but just a little warmer than we expected. All in all it was a good 200 mile ride and we all enjoyed a great lunch at Mammoth Spring Arkansas.<img src="images/smilies/grin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="big grin" class="inlineimg" />

The cooler weather finally arrived late yesterday evening, bringing some rain with it....hope it did the same for y'all. Some relief to the warm weather for at least this week anyhow...Lol ,we're expecting high's in the low 80's so not too bad for riding. :pepper: been up to Hot springs, and the Ozarks...not Mammoth, have to look into that!

Rode to the company picnic in one direction. In the 60's. Then headed in other direction to local racetrack to see cars behaving badly....that weren't on the road. Good demolition derby and races. Temp around 50'F when we left. Bundled up the wife and she survived (cold for her). Had to get my riding in this week since I will be way down in Mexico on business for the week.

Hey Jim, hadn't been to Andrews yet but not too many of these soda fountain establishments around any more. We have Nau's here in Austin, been around since the 50's and we have visited Star in Galveston est. in the early 1900's...a step back in time. Always on the lookout for a riding destination &#55357;&#56846; thanks for sharing!

I was at an Autumn show with the wife, And was staring at a Portrait of a pretty young Woman with only 3 leaves hiding vital parts.. And my wife asked' Whats taking you so long?... Nothing honey ' I'm Just waiting for fall.:D

Autumn is the only time of the year that we really miss since we moved to Florida, we used to do a lot of hiking and rock climbing in the fall when we lived in Ohio. So far this year it's still 90 outside but we've got a cold spell coming over the weekend, down to 80, lol.

Yeah low 90's today, the "cold front" will be here to drop us into the low 80's...yes! :clapping: fall in Texas :D
