Hood latch

Welcome to Trike Talk Johnnyu.
Can you see the latch from underneath somehow? Maybe jacking it up or rolling up onto a car ramp?
If so it might be possible to release it carefully using a long screwdriver or prybay without causing any "collateral damage".
Others may have the answer you need, so you might wait for a better solution than what I posted.
Best of luck on this one...

The only option is to go at it from the bottom. It is a bear to do. Just try different thing til you get one to work. Good Luck

I believe my hood latch has come unhooked or broken. Cant get hood open. Any suggestions on getting hood open?

I looked at mine. It seems that you could remove the panel that houses the headlight switch and gain access to it. Just a thought.

Good thought but the top of that panel is held in place by 2 bolts that have to be accessed with the hood up.

Mine has U-Nuts on all three screws. I think on later models there are no screws, the panel just pops out.

I have an "08" so I was not aware the new ones with the plastic body the panels popped out. That would make that easier. I do know the new ones they moved the latch down where it should be easier to get to.

Taking out the light switch /radio control leaves you with a backing and besides, there is a latch on both sides so it may be the right side hanging up? Go at it from the bottom and try to pull the latch open. I know it can be done as I watched the guy who sold me my Stallion do it to show me if there was a hang up.

Contacted Motortrike, company that builds the Stallion. Talked with Richard and he worked me into their busy schedule for next Wednesday. Beneficial living 40 minutes from Troup, Tx.
i do appreciate all of your suggestions.

Please let us know what Motor Trike did to unlatch. May save us a lot of headaches down the line.
