Hello fellow triker's and bikers

I'm Nuthin from Prattville al. I have a home built VW trike that is a woody

and A 2010 Yamaha 1300 touring bike that I would like some info on the

American tikes conversion kit (solid axle).

They posted pictures of the independent rear axle but none of the solid.

I would appreciate any input on the subject. Thanks:xzqxz:

Welcome to TT Tom and greetings from Long Island.
Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of your VW. We love pics here.

Welcome to TT!ThumbUp

I'm sure one of the VW folks will be along to help you with your question. I can't. Don't know much of anything about VW's.

Hello Tom and welcome to the website from the U.P. of Michigan.

A lot of the solid axils were Ford, such as Ranger, Mustang, etc. The axils are pulled out and shortened, the housings shortened, then mounted to the trike. Depending on the year , you could have drum or disc brakes. I can't gauntee that is what was used on your kit, but at least it gives you a place to start! Ride safe, send some pictures of your work in progress if you can.
