This 'Old Sailor' is just stopping by with an intro.....

I'm an old, busted up Sailor so I move kinda slow. But I have been making a little progress lately and I figured I'd share a photo and offer an intro. I'm Retired USN living in western Washington State and whenever I feel up to it, enjoy fabricating my trike 'theme bike'.

WarBird Bike is powered by an old 5-cylinder, 540CI Kinner Radial aircraft engine fuel injected by MegaSquirt, belt drive through Alpha-Romeo 5-Speed transaxle.

Later we'll wrap the front fender and rear body in a composite shell painted like an old WarBird.

From one former Sailor to another, welcome to TrikeTalk.
Cool project you've got going as well!
Best to you on your future trike.
Post pics of your extremely unusual build, and I mean that in a good wayThumbUp
We all like the pics of a trike build...

Welcome from New Mexico. A Salute to the Sailors. Now that is one heck of a project. Keep the pics coming. Many years ago I worked on fixed wing army stuff and taught maintenance to the new mechanics. Jim

Okay....this is gonna be neat. I can't wait to see how this is going to progress! Post many pics please!

And welcome to Trike Talk from eastern Kentucky.

I am just visualizing all the mechanical movement going on in that motor :AGGHH: Welcome and keep on chugging :clapping:

Welcome to the Form!! I'm an old retired Metal Tech from the Canadian Air Force. Your dash really caught my attention. The rivet spacing and the A/C style dash on the polished Aluminum really looks great. Looking forward to more pictures as you progress......Ken

My father was a Navy electronics tech(sonar)in WWII and if alive today he would really love the project you are working on. One could easily say that he was obsessed with building and flying remote controlled airplanes, jets, and helicopters. That is an extreme project you have going on, outstanding! Welcome to TT from Illinois.

Welcome to the gang Keep us posted

Man can't wait to see this project completed ThumbUpride safely if that is possible fearless
