Estimated from fuel economy tests on a sample motorcycle from the corresponding family conducted by Harley-Davidson under ideal laboratory conditions. Not all motorcycle models undergo fuel economy testing. Fuel economy and mileage may vary among motorcycle models within a family. Your mileage may vary depending on your personal riding habits, weather conditions, trip length, vehicle condition and vehicle configuration and While HD says 43 I am getting 55 now 1 up

I'd love to verify that for you but I cannot ride one up. Beautiful women keep throwing themselves onto my trike. Even on the interstate ....:clapping:

I had a similar problem last year when i took off the front fender on my Tri-Glide ' And reversed it...The young ladies at Hooters were all over me when i pulled up...Definitely was an attention getter...ThumbUp

Just filled up tonight on the way home when the light came on, 4.74 gallons....logged 157miles so about 33 mpg? that's about the norm for me

Pretty much the norm for me too. 32 - 33 mpg is what I usually get running around 60 - 65 mph in 5th gear. 70 - 75 mph in 6th gear will net 30 - 32 mpg. 55 mpg at any speed / gear combination would be great!

Well .... you do live in the flat State of Florida .... giving you a distinct advantage in miles per gallon. :pepper:

Same here (In Florida). I got 34-36 mpg on my 2015 FreeWheeler and am getting 40+ on my new M8. But 55? I'm a geezer and ride like one to get 40 so I'm dubious about 55. As somebody else said - deja vu.

Jack, are you sure your odometer is not set on kilometers? I have a friend with a 2016 Freewheeler who thought he was getting 55 MPG; discovered his odometer was set on kilometers.

@ 40 you should have 1 gallon of gas left are you using cruise and knocked out mufflers? I also have my heads vented so i aint sucking that oily water vapor in thru the throttle

I have de-catted the head pipe, added a K & N High Flow air filter element, added the Nightrider VIEDs and external vented the breather. Bike runs a little better but the mileage did not improve on my 2015 FW at all.

Question: Did de-catting the head pipe reduce gas mileage? My M8 roasts my ankle but I hate to disturb the factory programming.
