Utopia New Jersey USA..
Yesterday it was 65 degrees out side and all the snow is gone, Today it hit 70 degrees outside almost way too hot to ride...
The question is... Should i pack away my snowblower for the summer now, And also charge the batteries for my heated jacket and pack them and the jacket away for the summer.. ?
Not worried about my snowmobile , Ill leave it where it sits as a lawn ornament...
Any thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated...

After nearly 2 weeks of weather in the 50's and 60's it is now back in the teens and twenties and snowing,so my thought "no not yet, we still got March" Remember the saying March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb.

Not complaining .... but .........

....... it's February 24th, I'm in the Shenandoah Valley, my pellet stove has run maybe 5 days this month, Dafodils are blooming, trees are budding, grass is greening, it's been mid 70s last two days, it's after 9:00 PM, every window is open as are two doors, wife has a fan going.

It's February 24th.

We've been in Big Bend this week, high 80‘s daytime, 50's at night. The blue bonnets are blooming, the river is still a little cold, though. I think old man winter is done for here. Hope so for you too.

I've been here in St. Augustine for over 30 years. This past winter has been the mildest I can recall here. We had one freeze this winter so far...we got down to 31°. Normally we have a couple of hard freezes and half a dozen or so mild freezes. While I believe the scientific consensus on global warming (I'm not sold on the anthropogenic theory though, although I think it is likely we are having a hand in it), I remind my friends/family that one mild winter is not the nail in the coffin for those who deny global warming. What is the nail in the coffin is the scientific consensus itself. :D

I tend to agree with you on the causal conundrum. When the politicians get involved, though, I am suspicious that somebody is making a boatload of $$$ at our expense.

It hit 29º here this morning. That's after breaking 100 year records at 92º Wednesday. Roller coaster season in full swing.

Years ago there was a piece in the National Geographic, About the temps getting warmer in Greenland because of Global Warming.. Now called Climate Change. And in it they said that this is the first time in 14 hundred years that the natives can grow cabbage' and lettuce because of the warming,. So i guess 14 hundred years ago there was also Global Warming going on...

Groundhog said 6 more weeks of winter back on the 2nd.
IF he's right, we've got until the 16th of March before winter fades into spring.
Here, I'm not putting the snow removal implements into storage until mid~late April...

Was hoping for a good old fashioned ND hard winter to drive all the riff-raff out but it didn't happen. Started out with back to back storms that gave us 3+ feet of snow, but then it got nice and the snow's about all gone. I've seen some fierce spring blizzards before, so the snow stuff will stay ready until at least tax day.

Was on the road from '80 to '06, and winters these days don't seem as bad as back then. That may just be my CRS kicking in. But I don't worry about the global warming, climate change, whatever. If it's something serious the politicians will sit on their asses until it's too late to do anything anyway...

70 Degrees to day, Third or Fourth day in row.. Getting too hot to ride with winter clothes on....
I can almost hear the Fat Lady walking up the stage stairs ready to start singing.....:clapping:

It was in the 70's a couple of days ago and now it is in the 30's. Nothing has changed in over 40 years because we got married in March and the weekend we were married it was a beautiful spring day with the sun shinning and the temp was in the 70's, but the next weekend we had a big ice storm. Does this sound familiar?
